When my printer unexpectedly failed, the claim process was unbelievably easy and stress-free. ASURION reviewed my case quickly and approved my claim and one day after mailing back the defective printer (they covered the shipping cost) they sent me a gift card to replace the defective printer — no hoops to jump through, no hassle at all. Asurion reimbursed the cost of the computer monitor that was bought 2 yrs ago. The online claim process was quick and the email for the gift card arrived 9 days later.

Asurion has become a nightmare to deal with. When I first started using them, I felt like the warranty was money well spent — replacements and refunds were handled quickly and without hassle. Unfortunately, over time their service has gone downhill. For example, I purchased a robot vacuum mop that broke within a few months. I expected Asurion to honor the “no hassle replacement/refund” they used to advertise, but instead I was forced to jump through endless hoops. In the end, they refused to repair or replace it because it broke within a year of purchase, telling me the manufacturer should handle it. This left me stuck with a broken product and no support from either side. Asurion no longer delivers on what they promise. I’ll never buy another protection plan from them again. Save your money and avoid the frustration. TL;DR: Used to be good, now refuses valid claims and pushes responsibility to the manufacturer. Not worth your money.

Purchased the warranty on accident. But I am sure glad I had it as my paper shredder gave out. Filing a claim with Asurion was quick and easy. I sent my item with the prepaid label and deoooed it off to UPS. Received my Amazon gift card shortly after. Was able to get my new paper shredder. I’ll always purchase the extended warranty from now on!
