I usually buy the Amazon warranty on items that I believe needs a warranty. Bought 3x Midea ACs in early June 2021. By May 2022 the AC stopped working. Contacted Midea, and they are refusing to send a technician, they simply "drop the call" accidently, never get back to you, do not respond to emails, etc. So no help from Midea. But when I contacted Asurion, they claim its still under Manufacturer's warranty and will need a written proof that Midea will not cover the repair. This is a catch 22 as Midea does not respond, and Asurion knows that. They are downplaying the situation. It is literally the first time in 9 years that I have to use the Asurion warranty - and it is not as easy as they claim it to be. They simply refuse to help until June 9th when their warranty kicks in - which is 2 weeks away. On one instance when I call Asurion, the rep said they will send me a shipping label, but I will have to buy the box and packing myself. Which is totally against what they advertise as, "NO ADDITIONAL COST: You pay $0 for repairs – parts, labor and shipping included." - False Advertisement? I was told a confirmation email will arrive within 2 days, then no confirmation email for over a week. I checked in again, and they continue with the claim that its under manufacturer's warranty and I have to wait another 2 weeks before it is covered under their warranty.

The claim was quick and thorough, except they don’t pay for packaging. It’s not listed in their exclusions, so it’s arbitrary on their part.

This is the second warranty I have purchased from Asurion and I will continue to purchase warranties from them. They completely covered my last purchase without any problems, immediately. I got the ac replay ed and in my home within 10 days. Worth the money spent.

So glad I purchased Asurion Protection for our Frigidaire Dehumidifier. Shortly after the standard warranty expired the dehumidifier died!! I submitted the claim with Asurion and received a response almost immediately. They provided an Amazon gift card in the amount of the original purchase. The hardest part was finding the original documentation for submission. Make sure you keep your documents- well worth it!!
