The product failed. They had me UPS it to them at their cost. In less than a week they found the item unrepairable and issued an Amazon credit for the FULL purchase price of the item. They kept whatever the cost of the insurance was.... but well worth the expense. This is the fourth of fifth item Asurion has taken care of for me. I HIGHLY recommend for electronic items. This item was a dashcam... ROKU items were also credited.... and I think a bread maker.

once the Asurion forms were completed which took much longer than it should have and transmitted to Asurion, took another week or so to acknowledge receipt and then promise a gift card to Amazon.

I bought a three-year extended warranty. My item worked for 2 1/2 years then it stopped working. I put in a claim and they gave me a shipping label and told me to send it to them for servicing. A few days later I got a email saying they received the item and they will try to repair it in one to three days. Later that same evening I got another email saying they were unable to repair it and issued me a gift card for the amount I paid for the item so I can buy another item. Easy process, highly recommend.

I purchased this to protect a Battery Surge protector. the product was designed to and intended for use to protect your computer from lightning. We had a storm lightning sent a surge, which the product worked flawlessly, except it was fried, but my computer was not. I tried to file a claim and the claim was denied, because Asurion said lightning was an act of GOD, therefore it was not covered. What? That was the whole purpose of the product. Therefore, Asurion sold the product knowing that it would deny most claims for replacement, because it was damaged by lightning, which under their policy is an act of GOD. The simple answer here, is that they should not sell a policy for this product. I feel they committed fraud and knew they would never have to pay a claim on the battery backup, because most issues with a battery backup are lightning related. I have many policies with Asurion. I usually buy the policy for most products offered, without thinking about it. NOT ANY MORE.
