Thought I would add a review after using the warranty. I purchased a 4k DLP Optoma UHD30 projector about 14 months ago for just over $1k. 3 mirrors failed (stuck in bright white position) just after the 1 year Mgr warranty ended. I entered a claim online and it was approved nearly instantly, which provided me with a prepaid shipping label to send the projector in for evaluation (repair/replace/payout). The system tracks the service job well (let's you know when it arrives on-site, etc). After about 7 days at the facility I got an email that it was not salvageable, so they cut me a check for the original purchase price, which arrived about 4 days later. The service was smooth and the outcome more than acceptable so I can safely & confidently recommend this warranty provider.

the most I liked was the efficiency from Asurion team working with my product and letting me know what was wrong and the price of the product. I was able the get my money back. I will use Asurion again in my next purchase.

Update 2022-09-18 - After this runaround with Asurion they provided a mailing label. I boxed up the Optoma projector and remote and sent it off. By this time, the Optoma was no longer recognizing the HDMI ports, so no Roku or Fire streaming! Given that this is a software or board issue I wasn't optimistic that Asurion could fix this problem. However, they did! We were without our device for a few weeks, but it came back and the device is reading from both HDMI ports. I'm surprised and impressed, so I've brought the stars back up to 4. Good work and fingers crossed. *** Bought an Optoma ultra short throw projector. Need to make a claim as the remote has stopped working. Went to Asurion and got started. They say still under Optoma warranty. Let's see if this is not buck passing. Update - This was buck passing. Optoma says any warranty from them expires at most 1 year from date of purchase. So why did Asurion try to deflect and say still under Optoma warranty? Tried chat, still hanging.

I have purchased many "extended warranties" in my day however Asurion has been the best to work with so far. I purchased a policy on a fish finder for my boat and two weeks prior to the warranty expiring the fish finder quit working. I called the customer service line, explained my situation, and without hassle or having to bicker back and forth, they replaced my unit AND extended their coverage by another year. I'll continue to purchase their warranties so long as they continue to offer this level of service.

Long story short, my yolobox fell over while still connected to the tripod. Contacted Asurion and they were unable to fix it. I would have like my yolobox back but Asurion provided me with my money back!

Twice in One year on Two Defective devices. I purchased a 4 year plan for each. Every time I tried to file a complaint and talked with them on the phone they ALWAYS had some excuse not to honor their Plans. Always make up excuses. Latest try just this morning, bought a receiver in late 2017, bought their FOUR year plan and they just told me this morning the plan started the day I purchased the Item, NOT after Manufactories Three year warranty expired. They even say on their website with a picture even stating their plan starts AFTER Companies warranty expires. NOT TRUE. Buyers BEWARE of this company.
