I expected they would offer to fix the laptop but they offered to go full refund, which IMO is above and beyond and helped me replace it with an upgrade more suited to my needs.

Making the claim on the damaged laptop was easy. Device was shipped back at their expense with the label they provided. The refund promptly hit my Amazon account. It was a little confusing as emails from Asurion said a gift card would be mailed, then it said gift card would be emailed, but the money was back in my account before those emails even arrived. Overall, it was a good experience and helped cover replacement of the device, although purchase did have to be made from Amazon to use the refund.

Get it get it get it! I will never buy another laptop without it again. When I needed to make a claim ( almost 2 years after buying laptop) it literally took 4 MINUTES! The process was flawless and in less than 24 hours UPS was at my door picking up my laptop and 2 hours later my reimbursement email was sent and the Amazon gift card was ready to use! They reimbursement me 100% of what I spent on the laptop and bout a new 1 in the same day. So in 2 days I had a new laptop for free and with NO ISSUES! Worth every penny for this kind of service and piece of mind.

I've bought the protection plan for several products but only recently needed to use one. It took about 2 minutes on the computer to request it and they immediately sent me a pre-paid address label. I dropped it off at UPS, and within 4 hours had received my reimbursement. Wonderful service!

This was an excellent protection plan. My grandson had only had his new laptop for a week, when his little brother spilled a drink on the keyboard and the laptop quit working. After sending pictures of the laptop to Assurion, they promptly sent me a gift card from Amazon for the complete amount I paid for this laptop, I provided the information they asked for and within 24 hours I had a gift card and the claim was resolved. I’m really pleased and impressed with this protection plan and would not hesitate to buy it again. It definitely provides protection as promised!! 5 stars, PLUS!!

My $200 laptop's webcam failed, so I called. Process was streamlined well at first, from the initial agent to the tech team. Troubleshooting failed, and so they began to create a ticket for me to ship the laptop. They would provide the box and label at no charge, and the turn around was 10 business days plus shipping time. Soon after I agreed to these terms, the agent wanted to change course. He explained that they did not have the parts for the repair. In turn, he offered to cover the cost of my PC, but only if I still shipped it to them. I asked why they would want my laptop if they couldn't repair it? He gave a vague answer about "salvaging it." Other than the webcam, however, the laptop could still have been used until I found a solution or new laptop, and so I asked to keep the broken computer. (I would've let him access my computer remotely to verify or even film myself taking the troubleshooting steps from earlier, had they required further proof.) Eventually, after I requested to speak to a manager, he said he would request a "non-salvageable" repair. That worked, and the next day I got a gift card by email. Ultimately, I would consider using asurion again, but perhaps more with a bigger item, that would require on-site support.
