We'd just had our Volvo serviced and the next day I went to pick up the family from an art field trip. I left the radio on for a short time and when I got back to the car I got the deadly click-click-click sound. Yep, battery dead. In the countryside, middle of nowhere, no jump leads and nobody to jump from anyway . . . I called AAA and thankfully they were super and didn't laugh too hard. I felt so stupid at running down the battery - I'm not an idiot, I told myself. So I immediately did some research and reckoned I needed one of these thingys if ever I run into battery trouble again. Or, if anyone needs my help in the battery department. Or, if we need an extra heavy-duty cellphone charger next time we're camping . . . didn't know it could do that at first but it can. I must admit I bought this particular charger based on my own research but I can't compare it to any other brands as I haven't used any, and I'm not a techie. All I can say is that it works, and that it has given my family enormous peace of mind knowing that this wee device is there under the passenger seat if we ever need it. I'd say buy one now in a hurry even if you think you won't have a dead battery. And don't forget to keep it charged.

Frankly, I had my doubts that such a tiny little jump starter would actually work to start my car that had a dead battery. The battery was so dead that the starter didn't even chatter! I hooked the unit up to the battery and the first time trying to start it nothing happened so I waited about 20 seconds and tried it again. Lo and behold...the engine cranked right up and started like it had a good battery. What was even more amazing was the fact that the jump starter still showed a 97% charge on it's nice large LCD screen!! I'm hooked and am already telling my friends all about it! The fact that it also has a compass, flashlight with SOS mode, red light and can also charge your phones or accessories with the included cigarette lighter type socket, is just icing on the cake! It also comes with a nice, durable fabric case that holds the unit as well as the cords & jumper cables. I'm so happy with this powerful little unit and will make sure I carry it with me anytime I'm travelling by car!

What can I say bought this 8mths ago as u was going on vacation and leaving my cat for 10 days at the airport knowing that my battery was 5yr old I wanted to be sure if it did not start I had a backup just incase. Well the battery percentage was still close to 95 after 8 mth of sitting in the car and now my car battery needed a jump so I pulled this out and started the car since then I have used it like 8 times to jump my car went to walmart and they were out of the battery size I needed so I kept using this till I could get to a different walmart. I also used it for a airpump to fill air in my tires so don't have to start the car overall I am very pleased with this unit and it came in handy when I needed it. Don't have to rely on anybody.

I bought it to use with my Ford truck. It has a 460 in it. My battery seemed completely dead. I connected the jump starter, and it prompted me to hit boost. I did that and the display started counting down from 30. Jumped in the truck and it started after a few cranks. Took the battery of the jump starter down to 69%. I recharged the jump starter to 100% and let it sit for almost a month until today. I also let the truck sit. The truck battery drained to nearly dead in that time. I took out the jump starter and it was still showing 100%. Started the truck right away, which dropped the jump starter battery to 91%. Drove it for a while, and stopped at the store to get a trickle charger/maintainer for the truck. Came back out. truck wouldn't start. Used the jump starter to start it, dropping the jump starter battery to 87%. Drove about 10 minutes to the gas station and filled up. You guessed it, truck wouldn't start. USED THE JUMP STARTER AGAIN! Dropped the battery to 85%. Got home, put the jump starter on it's charger to top it off, and put the trickle charger on the truck battery. I've had the jump starter charging for a half-hour, and it's already at 95%. What can I say man, this thing is getting it done. If it goes belly up any time in the next year, I'll update the review.

first of all, I never expected I will use in in short period when I purchased, my purchases intended to get a jumper for backup, I gave a full charge and store in my car. after 3 months, my Sienna battery dead and I used this jumper for 3 times (1st time only expected my car only low battery, 2nd I discover my battery has problem, 3rd I have to drive out and get battery change). after 3 times use, jumper still remind 89%. I think this jumper is reliable and provide great power for each jumping. plus it provides functions such as charging a phone and flesh light, I highly recommend it.

... in making a useful product this affordable with these aggressive sales? I bought one on Prime day. Kinda regretted not getting another, then saw it on sale again so I got it. They gotta be making a loss on this. I took one apart, it was actually remarkably easy, not a sealed unit, and I expected it to be a tiny battery filled with weights like some units to feel premium. Nope, it's a genuine battery, and replacing would be a pretty easy job. The 12v DC is more useful than I imagined. My Boltpower air compressor uses the same tip but the polarity was backwards, but then I hooked up my Tacklife DC air compressor to it to inflate a few tires and it handled it with ease. Jump starting small engine machines like the lawn mower is a piece of cake. I also have a DC mini fridge I can use with it without keeping it tethered to a car. All in all, they're worth it, even if they fail down the line, they're far more affordable and feature rich than even bottom barrel Chinese firestarter booster packs. The compass doesn't work on either but... I think that's just an after thought. Flashlight isn't the brightest but it's perfect as a camping light or road side visibility.
