Received the pump quickly and it was packaged well with decent instructions. My first thought was that it seemed cheaply made as the entire pump is made of plastic. However, once put together, it appeared rigid and functional enough. I have two 55gal plastic drums that I wanted to transfer the fluid out of, each with threaded openings. Unfortunately, the threads are slightly recessed in the tank, so the pump wouldn’t thread into it. The pump has 3 different size threads in a tapered design, however the size I needed was the top threads and wouldn’t reach, hence the 4 stars. The pump has several lengths of pipe so you can adjust it to various depth containers and I needed all 3 for my tank. It was a little wonky trying to pump the handle with it being threaded into the tank but after approximately 10 pumps, it began to work. This is not a high volume pump but I was able to fill up a one gallon jug in about a minute. I didn’t count how many pumps but it wasn’t a lot, maybe 20-25. All in all, it’s not bad for the money.

While another review mentions that this seems to be cheaply made, I find it to be quite good. Yes, it is made of plastic - but not just any plastic. It is made from polypropylene (PP), which is why it is suitable for fuel. Polypropylene has excellent resistance to gasoline (petrol), diesel, kerosene, ethanol and methanol (including E10/E15 blends), and biodiesel (B5–B20 is typically fine). Another benefit of being made from PP is that it is very lightweight. It doesn’t make your barrel any harder to lift when empty. It pumps well and has good pickup and flow. The telescoping tube makes it fairly versatile. You do need to be mindful of what you use the pump for. Don’t pump fuel into a tractor and then use the same pump on a barrel of drinking water for horses. If it came with a hex nut for the different threaded sizes, it would be even more versatile, as it would allow you to drill a hole in almost any container and attach the pump - just an idea for the seller. Overall, I like it very much and think it’s a great tool to have in places where electricity is unavailable.

Works great. Got this unit to use as a pump on the 15 gallon drums I use for emergency gas during storm season. Fits the drum perfectly, and with the adjustable draw tube, it goes all the way to the bottom to draw almost all the gas out (maybe a couple of ounces left at the bottom). I like that this unit is plastic so it will not corrode and has less chance of producing condensation. Overall, this is a really well made pump and should last me for years.
