The boards are beautiful, I love that they come with a stand. I read that they should be treated with food grade mineral oil, heavily, before the first use and then frequently for the first few months, so I also ordered the oil and treated them right away. I let the oil sit 24 hours before buffing it off. I thought I could avoid some of the issues I read about in other reviews if I made sure to take good care of them. Now I’m not so sure. The small board has a small crack, in pictures, right out of the box. And several areas are rough. I used a lint free cloth to buff off the extra oil and it kept getting stuck in several areas that are really rough. Before I oiled, I thought there was dust on the boards, also in pics. I removed it all, oiled, didn’t think much of it. But when I buffed the oil off, that same stuff kept coming back. It’s almost like it’s peeling, so maybe that is just the difference between wood and bamboo? I’ll research that and hope that is the case, but I don’t love the idea of that stuff getting in my food and I don’t know that it can be avoided. I only removed one star because I’m not knowledgeable enough to know if there is a quality issue or if this is all just part of choosing bamboo instead of wood.

These are gorgeous! I love the three sizes and with the rack it comes in, these are almost decorative. Lightweight, functional and very pretty. These wipe off easy and I think can go in the dishwasher, though we haven't tried that yet. The three sizes are really helpful for cutting multiple items and for when you don't need a huge cutting board.
