Good size for small prep use, but it definitely wouldn't be large enough for a full meal prep. For me, this is handy for slicing up a lemon, an apple for a snack, an avocado for your sandwich etc. My husband also prefers to use this (instead of our full sized wood cutting board) as a work surface when he puts together a sandwich. I also use a mandoline to slice and shred carrots & cabbage for our nightly salads. I bulk shred about once a week and use this mat under the mandoline. Not only does the grippy underside keep it in place during the shredding, but I can just pick it up full, and bend and pour what I've shredded straight into the container. It's hard to describe the cutting surface - - - it's smooth and not textured yet not slick and still safe for knife use. Somehow, the smooth surface also (so far) resists and doesn't show any scarring or knife marks. I've used this for a couple of weeks now and there are absolutely no knife marks visible at all. * * update a month into use - - - knife marks have started to show up, but for the price of this 3 pack, I'm very satisfied to just grab a new one in another month or so once this really starts to get bad. Love the grippy underside to keep it from slipping around the countertop. I just stand them under the sink, but the cutout in the corner could be handy if hanging it is convenient for you.

These seem to be good cutting mats and are a good size; not too big or too small. They are just as described. I ordered several sets to include one with Christmas gifts of knife sets. I like that they don't have drawings of food on them. I've used a similar set for years and wash them in the top rack of the dishwasher. Easier to keep clean than a cutting board and easy to store.

I love these cutting mats. They’re lightweight, and much less cumbersome than cutting boards, and since I chop food multiple times daily, these make it much easier, and the price is great!

These are great super durable and easy to clean! They are small but strong so I can store them easily but thick enough I can cut all types of things on them!
