I have never used a product like this, nor did I ever need one. My neighbor had suggested I buy a jump starter. I thought OK, so I did a little research and bought this product. A couple of days after purchase and delivery, I needed to use it. It worked well and was easy to use. There is a digital readout on the charger that tells you how much of a charge is left in the device. It used 2% or had 98% left after the jump start. i have not used it to charge other devices (cell phones) as the instruction manual description says. ... show more

Looks very good. Like that it has the Boost button which means when the battery is really dead, after you press that button, it won't think that you have + and - reversed and refuse to work. Of course I haven't used it yet. (I also have Priority Start, that disconnects my battery if the voltage gets too low. More expensive than Battery Buddy, but they don't make or sell those anymore. ) but I trust them that it will work when the time comes. (If it doesn't I also carry battery cables. ;-) ) And this of course will for others' cars, esp. if I find a damsel in distress. ... show more
