For the price I like this little pump. It fits where I need it in the base of our outdoor fountain/birdbath. The limited dimension of the fountain base requires a dimension no greater than 3". This one is small but strong enough to move water one foot up with a nice fan shaped spray of water. If I get a season out of it, I'm happy. Heck, the birds seem to like it! I purchased this pump to replace the one in our outdoor fountain. The size was a perfect fit and it hooked up great for our fountain, however the power cord was extremely light duty compared to the heavy duty original cord that was more like a outdoor extension cord type. The description said for outdoor use but looked to be extremely lite duty type more like that is used for a indoor table lamp. I had my doubts but used it anyway. In three weeks the fountain kept kicking the GFI breaker outside. Upon inspection I spotted a wear spot where the light duty cord scraped the concrete and allow moisture to get in from the rain. If this pump had a heavier cord it would have been five stars in the review for cost, function and ease of installation. This is perfect for indoor use only. Sorry! ... show more
