I installed on a dimmer switch and it dims smoothly and looks great. Bonus that you can change the light color with a switch on the back. There were no instructions in the box. There is a link in the product description to them. Still, for someone who has never installed a light before, the instructions aren't entirely clear. The screws that were attached to the bracket were in the wrong place, so there was some confusion initially.
