  • Works Perfectly
Style: Docsis 3.0 24x8 Modem | AC1750 Router | ...
Arrived quickly, was easy to install, and will save me the $14.00/month Xfinity modem rental fee. It doesn't come with the backup battery but there is a compartment for it. The password and other numbers are really small so make sure you have a flashlight and magnifying glass if you have bad eyesight. That's my only complaint. ... show more

  • Easy to set up
Style: Docsis 3.0 24x8 Modem | AC2350 Router
The installation was easy. I use it with Xfinity, downloaded the app, it found it in a few minutes and set it up. Then I went to the Arris webpage to change the name of the network and password. It took me 5 minutes because it has to restart for the new information. Very easy.

  • Easy Setup. No problems with Puma chipset.
Style: Docsis 3.0 24x8 Modem | AC2350 Router
2/1/21 Update: I'm on my second refurb unit and the problem is the modem keeps disconnecting. MDD timeout happens every minute, probably because SINR and dbmV are too low. I'm certain the two refurb units are defective because my old modem works just fine with signals well within parameters and connection stable. Thank goodness for Amazon Prime return policy. Stick with buying a new one and not a refurb! So far so good for this refurb unit. Connectivity is a big improvement over my older surfboard SBG-6782. This newer 7400ac has more channels, appears more stable and responsive, and was easy to set up with Comcast/x-finity. I can’t comment on the Wi-Fi performance because I use a separate Ruckus R610 WAP which outperforms any combo router/modem/ap in my opinion. Programming was simple and standard for any Arris router/modem. Program your LAN IP address, set port firewall/port forwarding for your surveillance NVR, initiate modem online with Comcast, and I was all set and running after about 20mins. The only issue i had was slow speeds initially. That’s because the modem failed to update its firmware on the first attempt. Comcast updated the firmware remotely and my speeds are now consistently over 100Mbps. Very happy with this budget refurb unit, but it’s only been running for a week. Hope reliability is good and will update this review. ... show more

  • Sometimes cuts off
Style: Docsis 3.0 24x8 Modem | AC2350 Router
Does a decent job. Sometimes it does cut off even thoughbtheres nothing bending the wires or power supply. Had to position it in a way sort of like how your headphones worked if you wrapped it around your mp3 lol

  • not too bad
Style: Docsis 3.0 24x8 Modem | AC1750 Router | ...
it's a good modem/router that is reliable for it's age but also a bit pricy for it's age given many if not all of them are old equipment from cable company's across the country. I went thru 3 orders and returns of this model before finding one that worked. The most important thing is be sure to "ACTIVATE" the modem or it will not properly sync with device or your provider, instructions should be in the shipping box, if not call seller as you will need it to get device wording! ... show more

  • Call Arris first for correct cable modem for your needs -Finally a WIFI cable modem that works
Style: Docsis 3.0 24x8 Modem | AC1750 Router | ...
I have Xfinity as my provider who first recommended I blow 200 bucks on an Arris G36. Lost 160 bucks on that as by the time I installed it, too late to return. Then they recommended an Arris T25. Still have that dust collector as same deal, can't return and no one will give me 20 bucks for it. Finally called Arris who knew their stuff and they recommended this WIFI model that I purchased for 65 bucks refurbished and works great. Arris customer service dudes seem to be from India but work in downtown Philadelphia. Don't care as the folks at Xfinity are nice, don't give me a hard time when I want to purchase a piece of equipment of my own but I lost around 400 bucks until I finally called Arris and knew exactly the model I needed. Long term, I'd save 15 bucks a month. It appears I’m not the only person out there whose provider doesn't have a clue. Moral of the story is to call Arris, tell them your provider and what devices you need and they will save you hundreds of bucks unless you try to install it right away and can return it. Anyone out there want an Arris T25 in mint condition? JK as I'll post it again on Facebook's Marketplace for 15 bucks and see what happens. ... show more

  • Malfunctioning, no internet, no support, too late to return
Style: Docsis 3.0 24x8 Modem | AC1750 Router | ...
I had high hopes to a battery backup 911 phone line, modem and router "all-in-one", but this specific unit was a trasher and the manufacturer's support was very bad. While it's my fault that I didn't try to install this before the deadline to return it, it reflects on Amazon's refurbishment program that the device had serious problems when I got around to it (four months later). Could not connect to internet (after extensive diagnostics, including service provider's technician spending an hour on it.) In addition, I couldn't log in to the web-based settings framework. Ethernet didn't register at all until after the first (of three) hardware resets. This couldn't have all happened since Amazon shipped it, this strongly indicates that Amazon sent a broken product without properly testing it. The device itself has certain issues with the manufacturer - their web page for this product does not provide a link to the manual or firmware update(s). Arris has no excuse either. Lots of wasted hours by multiple people and interruption of an essential service - absolutely not acceptable. ... show more
