I'm normally a 3X but I got this in a 4X based on other reviews that suggested sizing up. 4X fits perfectly, plenty of room in bust and sleeves, except that it's long enough to make tripping while climbing stairs, or getting sandy walking on the beach, potential issues ;) I'm taking up the hem 3" which should fix that (BTW, I noticed another reviewer saying she would like to shorten it but doesn't have a sewing machine... for all the young 'uns out there, a needle and thread and a good podcast to keep from getting bored is all you need to sew a hem ;) ) At first try I didn't like the fabric texture... felt a little stiff and plasticky, but washing fixed that and now it's soft and nice. I will say that the print is a bit cheap viewed up close... I got the black background with white hibiscus and green leaves, and the color areas are slightly misaligned in places. Really not noticeable from a couple feet away though. I've worn it twice and each time got a compliment from a stranger, for what it's worth! ... show more

Gorgeous. Fabric is so soft. Perfect for me. The only warning I would give is that it's VERY long, which is good because I'm very tall. I got a very large size, I don't know if the length is shorter for smaller sizes. But be forewarned.

At 6’3” I am always searching for a maxi dress that is long enough. This one brushes the tops of my shoes, and fits like a glove. I have extremely wide hips and a high waist and this dress seems to be made for women like me. The hang of the skirt is loose enough that it doesn’t show the line of my tummy, and the bodice fits close and comfy. The material is a nice, heavy blend, and the stitching is solid in my opinion as someone who sews. The pockets are voluminous and even with my phone and keys in them they don’t pull the garment awry. Update: sized up and repurchased in a different print. It’s longer than the first which is great for me, but not consistent! Soft and wrinkle resistant material. Great length on the arms and not tight. Returned. I sized up one size for a flowy summer dress and it was barely ankle length. I am only 5’ 9”. Also, the pattern is exactly as pictured. Looking for maxi dresses for Spring and Summer wear. This dress is amazing! I'm 5'9" and it is truly a maxi dress, I plan to wear either flat sandals, or more likely platform sandals. The colors are vivid and the material is nice and stretchy, like a favorite t-shirt, yet it springs back, so it doesn't look like it will get saggy as the day goes on. The gathered waist is forgivable, and it doesn't pull anywhere, it lays beautifully. The pockets are the best part, I swear! I won't be wearing it for a few weeks, so I can't speak to how it washes. I don't think there will be any bad surprises though. The price is great for the quality. I ordered more! I went by the size chart to order, the size is higher than I would normally wear but I'm glad I used the size chart! ... show more
