Description

ARIES Jeep roof rack crossbars make your Jeep Wrangler ready for any adventure. They quickly clamp onto the roof and create an entirely new storage space for a wide variety of cargo. The unique feature of these cargo brackets is their quick-release clamps. The ends of each bracket are equipped with a gutter clamp that securely mounts onto the roof gutters whenever needed. The brackets can then be loaded with a cargo carrier, basket, kayak racks or other items. The clamps are constructed from powder-coated steel for maximum strength, and they help keep your cargo fully secure no matter where the trail takes you. When the adventure ends, the brackets can easily be removed by simply pulling clamp latches. ARIES Jeep roof rack crossbars also have a fully slotted channel. The slots can accept bolts or hardware from a roof rack cargo carrier or any number of straps, ropes or bungees. With multiple slots spanning the length of the bracket, straps can also easily be adjusted. ARIES Jeep roof rack crossbars are rated for a maximum capacity of 150 lbs. They come with all necessary hardware and require no drilling or vehicle modification for installation. They are designed to fit the Jeep Wrangler JK (compatible with hardtop only). Two brackets are included per package.

    • Removeable but not as easy as expected.
Assembly and install is fairly straight forward... not many parts. Very low clearance which helps cut down on noise, but typical clamp on kayak and bike racks probably wont fit. There is mayber 1.25 inches between bottom of bar and Jeep top. Removal... I had to completely remove the top bolt to release the bottom clamp so I didnt have to slide the racks off the rain catch. I was worried about scratching paint, but they can be slid off (kit comes with sticky back pads to help prevent scratching). Racks feel very sturdy and secure. I hauled a 12' Hobie kayak on slip over cradle pads jist fine. Didnt budge. ... show more

    • Nice roof bars but they DO NOT FIT A JL
As of May 27th 2023 the Amazon description says these are compatible with JL wranglers and they are not. Check the manufacturers website and see it is for JK wranglers only. The brackets are not tall enough causing the crossbars to contact the roof. Aside from that the roof bars are pretty nice. I like the look of them and they are definitely strong although a bit heavy since they are steel and not aluminum like most others. The mounting mechanism seems very sturdy. I decided to keep these and modify them to fit the JL which involved welding a plate on each bracket to increase its height by 1" and purchased longer bolts to match. I'll revise my one star review if they ever fix the description. ... show more

    • These didn't clear my Sky One-Touch Roof
These were pretty easy to install but they don't clear the Sky One-Touch Roof so I cannot use them -- too afraid my kids will open the roof and either damage the roof or knock the cargo bar onto the windshield. I waited too long to install them and now they cannot be returned. If you take a chance on these, install right away so that you can see if they will work for you. ... show more

    • These are terrible
These racks are incredibly loud when going down the road, the noise is beyond annoying. They are also a complete nightmare to install and uninstall. If you want the top of your vehicle scratched to death these are the racks for you. If I could have given them no stars I would have. I think I will end up just throwing these away, as it costs 75 dollars to ship them back, and just buy some new ones. Lesson learned. ... show more

    • Great crossbars. Hardtop or soft top
I’ve had them on my door surrounds (besttop soft top) and haven’t had any problems. I can’t open the front top of the soft top without taking the front bars off, but that’s to be expected. The bars are quick and easy to put on and remove. Installation is easy. I have pads on the bars and they do not roll or move. I’ve only had about 60lbs on these bars so far but no problems. Wind noise isn’t bad unless I’m crossing sanibel causeway bridge. Then it’s annoying. ... show more
