We bought this hair dye off a recommendation from a friend. Our daughter wanted streaks of color in her hair for some time and we even went so far as to take her to a salon where they used a product that was similar to this, expected to last 10+ washes with cold water. Unfortunately the color that was added with the other color did not take very well or last nearly as long as was expected. We aren’t sure if it was because of the product itself or our daughters fine hair not being able to “hold” the color super well. The Arctic Fox hair color on the other hand worked better than we had hoped. The color was super bright and vibrant without having to do any pre-treatment on her hair. It lasted far longer than the other brand as well - lasting over 15 washes with cold water. For the first handful of washes we did wash our daughters hair in our metal kitchen sink as we were concerned with the color sticking to our white tub. We purchased both the aquamarine and purple AF colors and did a layered look at home. My wife and I are not hair dressers, so I’m sure if a professional had put the product in that it would have looked nicer, but we have enough left over in each bottle that we can likely do it 2-3 more times minimum, and hopefully we’ll get better at the application with each time. ... show more

This was my first time using Arctic Fox products. I have added color to my hair with Manic Panic brand before and wanted to try something that would last longer but still be semi-permanent. I stopped dying my gray hair in 2020 and don’t want to go back to that but sometimes get bored with the gray salt and pepper look. I am super impressed with the color quality and uptake in my virgin hair ( no lightening before). I used Ritual and Blue Jean Baby to achieve this look and only left in for about 30 minutes. I still have lots of product left so will touch up as needed and may leave in longer next time but I’m really happy with the results. The pictures don’t capture the dimension of color and the shine. I don’t shampoo out after the initial application and actually add a conditioner mask after rinsing out the color. My hair is super coarse though and tend towards dry. These colors are gorgeous and I’m looking forward to experimenting with blending them. ... show more

Arctic Fox was recommended by my sister who dyes her hair frequently and it’s always turned out perfectly. So I got the the Transylvania and used some Lime crime green we had left. I love how it’s turned out and while I did have a lot of bleeding afterwards on my old pillow, it was old and that was why I used it cause it was expected. Aftet 2 months, the green lime crime has faded more than the Transylvania black. Also a lot of people mentioned that when it fades it fades blue and purple, which it’s a blue based black so I would expect that, mine so far has not done that. And honestly I don’t know if I’ll be upset if it eventually does. I’ve always wanted some kind of Galaxy/oil slick hair color so if it washes out to that I’m totally ok. Side note, if you don’t know, if you have a blue black and mix it with orange it will cancel out the blue. ... show more

As expected, it fades, but it faded green in some parts and purple in others. I actually didn’t mind the purple color, but the green not so much. It was just a little strange. The smaller bottle basically covered my entire head and I have fairly long hair, though I did have to dip into the second one. I definitely could have been more liberal but I wanted to see if I could get away with just using the one bottle. This is the absolute best hair dye! Arctic Fox is my favorite hair dye brand. It goes on extremely easy, it doesn’t fade super fast as long as you wash it only a couple times a week in lukewarm/cold water (I only wash mine once a week and I use lukewarm water because I can’t handle the cold), the color is vibrant and beautiful, the dye smells good, and it doesn’t stain. It also conditions your hair which is amazing and you don’t have to worry about it killing your hair or having to use a billion conditioners and/or hair masks to make it soft and healthy again. Dyed my hair for a costume for comic-con and it turned out a great deep black color on my medium blonde hair. (I didn't want to use a hair spray since that gets everywhere and looks fake). It did take me four bottles to dye all of it, but then, my hair comes down to mid-thigh. I specifically wanted a color that would wash out which it has been doing with frequent washing. One interesting effect is that it has turned purple and green as I have been washing it out--purple on my once blonder highlights and green on the rest--but I suspect this may be a result of the lemon juice rinse I employed, although I couldn't say for certain. I love the colors, though, especially for Halloween season! The one real downside I've experienced is all of the bleeding; for a couple of weeks, every time I took a shower, my hair bled copious amounts of blue and I had to keep a towel over my pillow when I slept at night so it wouldn't dye my pillow. It did dye the towel. Overall, I've enjoyed this product. I suspect that in another 2-3 weeks my hair will no longer be green but may retain the purple, which wouldn't be so bad. ... show more

virgin pink under my blonde hair. i put it on the longest layer only. Blue is way too staining. but v pink is perfect! It washes off my hands and the sink. It stays in my hair for about 3 weeks if I keep shampoo off the ends. If I need it out quickly, a clarifying shampoo will do it. I LOVE THIS! although the bottle says to throw away after 30 days, I am on month 4 of the same bottle. I usually work out with it in, then shower. It does not stain my shirts (it washes right out of fabric). I will never try another brand. It is returnable, there is nothing to lose. I have used it to highlight my hair, or just on one layer. It does no damage. It is awesome. My hair if very fine and blonde. Virgin pink is perfect. Find your color!!! It is so fun. and so high-quality! ... show more
