The media could not be loaded. So this hair color is like a ginger redhead, a redhead and a bottle so if you’re not fan of the orange reddish color, then you’re not going to be a fan of this. I do recommend having your hair blonde and with some highlights in your hair before you putting this in your hair so it does look natural. So it doesn’t just look like You have orange paste in your hair. I am not a fan of just throwing color in my hair my hair needs to have dimension in it when your hair has dimension. It looks so much better even if you have a crappy hair color or a hair color you don’t like This hair color washes out super fast and I would definitely recommend wearing a nightcap when you sleep will come out on your sheets. I used the Purple AF and was afraid the color would not show up or "stick" to the gray in my medium brown/gray hair mix... I didn't have to worry at all! My hair was completely natural, unprocessed with no pre-lightening done. I'm about 4 weeks in now and it's actually grown out more than its faded. The color is only slightly less vibrant but still going strong! I left it in for 3-ish hours to process and have been washing it about twice a week with a color protect shampoo and conditioner. I know everyone's hair is different and they don't guarantee that it will cover gray but for me it wasn't an issue at all. The gray strands turned almost a metallic purple and I love it! A couple words of warning: it stains everything it touches! Make sure to cover everything while applying and wear gloves. Rubbing alcohol takes it right off of skin and most surfaces. Do the first rinse over the sink so you don't stain your shower... or yourself! Edited to add the second picture of how well and evenly it faded after almost 6 weeks. You can see my roots with the brown and lots of silver/gray coming through but there were still some definite purple highlights. Loved it so much that I just re-colored it again today. ... show more

I’ve been using Arctic Fox for years so I had to try their new color, Ginger Flare. My hair was bright green before I started. I did 2 bleach washes and most of the green came out but not all and my ends were still pretty minty. Despite my less than perfect bleach job, my hair looks really even. I've wanted to go red for a long time but will never bleach or treat my hair so this seemed like a fun way to experiment. I got the Ginger Flare color and tried a test strip of hair for an hour then rinsed it out. I didn't notice any difference in color or texture so went all in and put the entire bottle in my hair and left it in for 3-4 hours. I rinsed it out with cold water and went to bed. I did not have any staining in my tub but USE AN OLD PILLOWCASE OR TOWEL. I used an old one and it was very orange in the morning and a little soaked through onto my pillow cover. Take the warnings seriously and wear dark or old clothes the first day or two. The dye seems to come out fine in the wash but don't risk it. It was super red in the morning but after a hot shower the color toned down a lot. I really like it. My hair is normally medium to dark brown and the color change was noticeable but somewhat subtle. I would say it's comparable to the example pictures they gave for dark brown hair, just a little less saturated. When my hair is wet or sweaty there can be a very small amount of color bleed but it's very light. I'm not wearing nice white shirts but everything else seems fine. Now for the reason I'm only giving it 4 stars: It's only been in a few days and the color seems to be fading already (despite barely washing out in the shower anymore). To me this isn't an issue because I wanted to try something short term but I think others may want it to last longer. That being said, if you take steps to maintain it like leaving it in even longer at the start, only washing your hair with cold water, or if your hair is treated/lighter, it will probably last much longer. I really like trying this product and would recommend it to anyone wanting a short term change, but for some it might not last long. ... show more

I have darker brown hair and it worked so well!! It came off my scalp really easily and it is so vibrant and makes your hair super soft!! My ends were lighter so obviously they are a lighter red! Definitely do atleast 30 I went 35 and I felt like I could have went a bit longer because my hair on my scalp I don’t think took as much as I wanted too! Also missed the part of on blow drying with a cap on! Definitely do it next time but all and all this product is magnificent!!! ... show more

I love the color! I did a split dye of this and Phantom Green of the same brand and while I love the colors, I don't love that it only lasts maybe a week and a half washing it every 2-3 days (with color shampoo) before it looks grey and sad. I did use a color sealer too (the ion/sally beauty brand, I use it for other brands and it works great) but I just don't think this brand works for my hair type. Manic Panic has no issue sticking for 3 months (with the sealer) for reference. It also stunk up my bathroom. Like it still smells. The bottles are in zip lock bags. ... show more
