This arrived quickly and performed perfectly. I bought this product on the recommendation of a wood restoration expert. I specifically wanted a beeswax that had mineral oil as the emollient, not olive oil. I used it on a cleaned antique wood picture frame. The wood frame was dry, cracked, and had minute details. It was probably from about the 1880's or so. I worked the product into the wood with a soft brush and allowed it to dry overnight. Then I hand-buffed it with a clean cloth. It looks a million times better! The dryness is better, cracking is better, and the details glow now. I know I will have to continue to use it regularly to bring the wood back to its best condition, but I am very pleased with how it looks. A little goes a long way. I barely made a dent in the tin on this frame, so I have plenty for other projects. ... show more

Great stuff! The wood just DRINKS it in. Not messy or smelly, easy to apply, ready to buff very quickly. I was surprised at how small the jar was, but you don't need tons of it, even for a piece of furniture. If you take the rag you used to apply the oil and use it as a dust rag, it will pick up all the dust and leave your furniture with a subtle sheen—and no residue. If you're concerned about color change, you might want to try it on an unobtrusive area first, because in my experience it does darken the wood. ... show more

    • Great for wood blocks and cutting boards
Exactly what I was looking for. Make sure you have a clean, dry cutting board or wood block, then apply a coating of this stuff with a cloth. Let it sit overnight and wipe it down in the morning. I live in Arizona where we don't have much in the way of humidity and untreated wood will dry out, crack and split. I used mineral oil in the past, but I was applying it all the time to keep the wood treated. The addition of the beeswax makes the treatment last a lot longer and the cutting boards seem to be even more waterproof. ... show more

I have wooden counters so I need some protection that is safe and sheds water. This seems like a great product as water is bearing up and not penetrating my wood. It is a little laborious to apply but nothing more than time and energy so I’m fine with that. It is also a little pricey for one single use age which is what I got from this can.
