I know there are quite a lot of reviews here, and the majority of them are positive— I just have a bad habit of allowing the bad ones to make me unnecessarily nervous and pessimistic about the potential outcome. The price point was something I was iffy on, because generally (not always) good quality and/or efficient hair tools are pricey. This definitely is not the case here! I followed the instructions to start on the lowest heat setting to find your hairs tolerance before going balls to the wall, and even on the lowest heat setting I got GREAT results. I was also concerned that this may create more of a crimped look than the beach style wave I was hoping for, but again, I was wrong, and this gave me the really pretty, soft, and more on the natural side looking waves that I had desired. Additionally, it heated up quickly, and when styling I only had to hold for 4 seconds at a time (as claimed in the instruction guide) to get the desired look— again, this being on the lowest setting, so I’d say the heat is sufficient as well. Unfortunately, I can’t yet speak as to the longevity (which I know was the topic of a few of the lower ratings) because I just received this, but I can say I’m super impressed with the quality and efficiency for the price!     • Nice loose waves
It took me a while to pick out the perfect BedHead waver, there are so many of them. I wanted to make sure I would get one that did not look like the crimping irons of my childhood. Surprisingly, there is not much posted on social media about this specific model. This model is truly unique because it produces large loose waves. I have roughly shoulder length, straight, fine/medium hair. It's straight and fine but there seems to be a lot of it It holds a curl well, I'm not one for many products in my hair, but a spritz of a nice hairspray, starting off with a styling product while my hair is still wet, allows it to last a lot longer versus au naturale' The first time using this product, I put the heat to the fullest capacity, it heats up quite quickly, the handle remained cool to the touch, but if you want to hold on with your hands at the very top of the waver, Definitely be very careful or wear one of those heat proof gloves. I don't know if it truly made a difference or not, holding it at the top, I don't know if it made it tighter, made the waves better, but we do what we do. So I'm just preparing you if you are one of the people that likes to hold the waver at the top as well. It will definitely take a little bit of experimentation. How big of a piece Of hair, how many seconds each section is "waved", etc. I also found that when I separated the waves when I was done I wasn't very fond of the finished product. But that's my personal preference. That's the best thing about this item. The versatility. How it looks on different types of hair, the different styles, two different people can get many different looks from the same waver. I personally love this item because the waves are not as "extreme" as the other ones in the series. This waver makes gorgeous loose waves for an everyday casual look and it's lightweight so it makes the process of doing your hair easier. My problem with it is that my hair only works with high heat. The waver in its highest setting would heats up the top of the handle where there are curves for your hand to grip. The top of the waver where there are places for you to hold down the clamp with your other hand is also gets very hot and makes it unusable. Overall, I'm happy with the texture and volumes it gives to my hair but I'm on the fence about returning it considering the handle heats up as well to the point where it brings discomfort to use. ... show more

I love this thing! Very very cute styles. If you are like me and your hair has a bad smell after using, there are actually YT videos that tell u how to avoid. Turn down the temp, make sure your hair is CLEAN (no oils)…those are the two that helped me. It’s a great little styler tho! I have very very very fine thin hair and it gets oily fast. This styler gives me volume and it doesn’t get oily as fast ... show more

Do not buy this product. I used it one time and the heat stopped working halfway through my hair. I didn’t even get to curl the whole head.!!!
