06-22-2022 - UPDATE This pump is great and running like a champ. It was easy to install and is so much quieter than my old one. I did not realize how weak my old pump had become. After installing this one, realized I had a leak with the pressure release valve on top of my filter - now replaced. I have a Polaris that I'd thought had quit working several years ago. I never threw it out. I hooked it up and its running just fine. I have a vacuum floor sweeper that pulls dust and debris from the bottom that was starting to fail with the old pump. It, too, runs great now that the new pump is in place. The old pump wasn't producing enough pressure to run the Polaris (non booster pump model) and not enough vacuum for the sweeper. Compliments also on the connectors. I was going to install unions at the inlet and outlet to make servicing easier. With this pump. the connections provide the same function as unions in the line making it very easy to disconnect, if needed. My old pump connected with threaded pipes - these connectors are much more practical. The pool water hasn't looked this good in years. Several years ago I had an armadillo "belly up" (literally) in the pool. When I called the local health department, the veterinarian that answered my call was not absolutely sure of the best approach (as armadillos can carry Hansen's bacillus) her recommendation was a generic "dead animal in the pool" answer which consisted of repeated shocking at a very high level. This left considerable silt/dust at the bottom which I managed to reduce but could never fully clear. Two weeks in with this pump and the dust/silt is almost gone. The price for this one was about a quarter of what the "big name" pump would have cost me. As in my previous post, customer service is/was great. They even sent me follow up emails to make sure everything was going well with the new pump. Great seller, great pump. Everything I needed to install it was in the box except PVC glue and, given the different ways one may connect this pump, I would not have expected glue to be included anyway. Original post: I got this as a replacement for an old pump that is on its way out. I chose this one based on great reviews and a price that makes it a great value. Its sturdy and well built. It arrived well packaged and looked solid from the unboxing. Aside from being a great pump, it actually looks great sitting there. Quiet performance and the added value of ease of hookup including being pre-wired with an attached cable. The manufacturer offers a two year warranty which is better than many. I like the versatility of being able to select either of two sizes of pipes to connect to. My biggest compliment over and above those of the pump is their customer service - they clearly care about their customers. PS - nice cover for the controls.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Outstanding Customer Service and Warranty Support I purchased this AquaStrong 3 HP Variable Speed Pool Pump just under a year ago. Unfortunately, it recently failed. While that’s never something you want to deal with, what really impressed me was how AquaStrong handled the situation. Their customer service was outstanding from start to finish. They responded quickly, kept me updated throughout the warranty process, and sent me a brand-new replacement unit with no hassle. They did exactly what a company should do when standing behind its product. The new pump was easy to install and is running great. It’s powerful on the high setting, quiet on the lower speeds, and my pool is already looking much better. It’s refreshing to find a company that truly honors its warranty and takes care of its customers. Because of the excellent support I received, I would absolutely buy from AquaStrong again and highly recommend this pump to anyone looking for a quality variable-speed pool pump backed by outstanding customer service

Bought this pump to replace an older pump that was failing. With a little bit of replumb and adjusting this pump fit right into the old spot and works great. Has multiple speeds and the power on the low speed is just fine half the time we don’t even use the high speed. After sale communication between the seller was awesome also. They answered every question that we had and always replied back promptly. Definitely a good product and a very good seller. We would definitely buy from them again.

Super easy to install, love the virable speeds. Compared to my old pump is super quiet. Locally a new pump would have cost me 2 to 3k, so I think it was a good buy. My old pump took 4kwh to run, this one only takes 1.8, very efficient according to my electric consumption app. Very satisfied with the product.

This is my third pump since I built my inground pool and is by far the best. It is very quiet and does not struggle to pump pool water uphills distance of 75 feet. II live the multiple speeds and programming built into the pump. I wish I had spent the little extra money on my previous pumps. I will report back about how it holds up.

I replaced my 220V Single Speed pool pump with this unit, install was no more difficult than a single speed unit. It comes preset with 4 speeds, this thing is quiet! it seems to move the same amount of water on speed #2 as my old single speed which still leaves me with two more higher outputs over my previous pump. At the time of this review I have run the pump for two weeks striate using Speeds 1 / 2 / and 3 I haven't needed the strongest. my old pool pump pulled 11amps and this pump pulls only 100watts on Speed #1 / 300watts on Speed #2 / 1200watts on Speed #3 or 5.5amps on Speed #3...

My initial impression of this pump ranks it very high. The "issues" I have with it are rather minor but they do lower my rating just a little bit. Overall the installation was fairly easy. Unfortunately it wasn't close to an exact fit with my outgoing pump so I did have to do some plumbing. I initially was going to use my existing wiring but the conduit fitting was to large to fit under the cover so I had to rip that out and run/rewire the Aquastong wire to the ckt breaker. It was a close fit but it just made it. It is very quiet, and a bit stronger than the old pump. As I said, my concerns are minor, but they stick out in my mind. 1) The cover for the control panel pretty much just lays on top of the unit without any real restraint. I'll have to remember to remove and stow it the next time we get a hurricane. 2) This cover has a clear plastic lid over the controls so we can see what's happening without having to lift the door. That's nice, but with being directly exposed to the hot Florida sun I worry that it will bleach out the LED screen and/or deteriorate the protective film over the controls. I'd rather this be a blacked out or reflective cover. 3) Unlike the unit it's replacing it is not possible to rotate the control panel. Because of where this is located I basically have to do all management of the controls looking at the panel upside down. Not a show stopper, hopefully I'll only have to do it very infrequently, but it would be nice to be able to rotate it 90 or 180 degrees. 4) It has 4 preset speeds which are nice, but unlike my old unit it appears that if I press one of these it will run at that speed until I manually stop it. If I pressed one of those buttons on my old unit it would run for 30 minutes (for each press of the button) and then either return to the programmed schedule of one was running, or stop otherwise. This was nice if I added something to the pool and wanted to run for an hour or two to circulate the water and then walk away and forget about it. I can't do that with this. Again, a minor issue, but it does add extra steps to the pools management.

Great pump - works as advertised. Customer support is great as well - needed a new union and they sent me one quickly without any issues. Pump works at 4 different speeds - saves on electric as we don't use our pool as often as we would like - given low bather use - i keep at 2000 rpm and it has been working like a gem.
