This product is exactly as advertised and is a great value. It works very well and is much quieter than our previous pump. We have an in-ground 25,000 gallon pool. The pump was very easy to install. The pump provides adequate suction for the pool cleaner while maintaining the perfect flow for water circulation. It did break after 4 months, but we contacted Aquastrong and they honored their warranty and shipped us a new pump!

I ordered a 2 hp pump for my above ground pool and while that was a mistake for my particular pool, the pump itself was friggin fantastic. Easy set up, smooth flow and that bad boy is STRONG. Was a lil too strong for my 15x33 but I was able to contact the seller and not only did they get back to me very quickly but they asked me specific questions about my pool/situation and helped me decide on the best replacement. I have been blown away by not only the quality of the product at a very reasonable price but that CUSTOMER SERVICE-yasssss girl! Just order it. You won't be disappointed (if you are in any way, they will correct it for you no hassle)!

Beyond impressed! Our pool pump had died in the middle of the evening I came home. It sounded a little funny. I turned it off just to see if there were something stuck in the filter. It was clean so I went to flip it back on and that’s where she died. I did a lot of homework looking to find a similar pump and instead, I found one way better. We have a roughly 15 x 25 swimming pool 10 foot deep in the deep end not really sure how many gallons a lot. The one I had was only a 1.5 hp and was having a hard time finding another one that was 1.5 hp and was genuinely looking to replace the pump with the exact same pump until I found that the exact same pump was like $800 considering how long they run and how consistent they work maybe not the worst price tag but for a last minute near the end of the summer unexpected purchase more than I wanted to spend. So I found this one that’s a 2 hp and yeah you do need to be careful even with half of a horsepower difference. If you have any flexible plumbing, it is possible that it could collapse the hose and it would be a prudent decision to also upgrade your cleaning hose to a professional grade one they do exist and they’re not that more expensive than a regular hose otherwise the hose can collapse in on itself and as I’m sure you know once that happens to a section that section becomes prone to collapse more often. I love this one runs on a regular 110 outlet so I can stop running basically a dryer 24 hours a day. My electric bill was getting crazy because my last one was at 240 V I like the extra #Warranty you can get through Amazon but also through the company. It is very quiet. The install was very easy. Already thinking about when I close the pool here in a few weeks how easy it will be rather than leaving my pump out in the elements all winter since this one isn’t hardwired in that I can drain it and move it into a barn or a garage or heck, even just a box so it’s not being totally exposed but it makes it very easy since it just plugs in versus being hardwired. The timer was super easy to set up. All you have to do is like how many hours you want to run and then push on at the right time. So not like a regular time where you can set the time of day or anything like that so if you want to turn on at 8 AM, you have to go down there and turn it on once at 8 AM and tell it to run for 10 hours. And even though I have hit the power button to turn it off so I can sometimes clear out leaves or bugs or whatever is caught in the filter. It does not lose its place in the schedule as long as you don’t unplug it. So not only does it run on less electricity. It is slightly stronger, which really does have the water really moving in a good way but it has a timer built-in for so long my wife and I I’ve just been burning through the electricity and I know it sounds lazy, but our pool isn’t exactly controlled from inside the house so it is awesome on the electric bill to now not have it running all night and that it’s running less electricity but it’s very quiet all the connectors that came with fit perfect I’m about two months in on it. I did get the extended warranties because I read other people‘s reviews and to be honest I’m not concerned at all. It is nice to have that as a fallback and at this price point getting a little extraWarranty for some peace of mind isn’t so bad. And I’ve never been more excited to see an electric bill in my life.Lol great purchase great product. You will not be disappointed.

Purchased this pump for my large above ground pool (20k gallon). Pump is very strong, easy to operate and worked perfect for my pool. It has been a great value keeps our pool water clean (we have he 2HP). Purchased May 2025 in July 2026 the built in timer had an issue. This company took care of the unit immediately, it was easy to communicate with them, they responded quickly. I would highly recommend this pump and this Company.

The pump is very quiet and has kept the water crystal clear......A week or so after starting up the pump it developed a leak underneath. I notified the company and told them the problem. I sent them a video of the leak. No hesitation from them, they said it shouldn't leak and they sent me a replacement pump. I was afraid it might cease up and stop working all together. They told me NOT to send back the original pump and I received the new one within a couple of days. The original pump still works great except for the big leak. I hopefully won't have to change out pumps until next year, as long as the original doesn't conk out. Thank you to Aquastrong customer service for the quick response and to make everything right. Will definitely buy from this company again.

This review applies to the 8100 gph, 1.5 Hp, 220V, single speed Aquastrong pump. I purchased this pump to replace a Hayward "SuperPump" SP2607x10. It's the 3rd Super Pump that I've had to replace since we moved into the house 10 years ago...not impressed with Hayward. On the other hand, for the money, this Aquastrong pump has performed well for the first two months of its operation. On paper this 1.5 Hp pump performs similarly to the 1 Hp Hayward that I had been using; this pump tends to operate ~13 psi whereas the SP2607x10 tended to operate around 15 psi. With regard to installation, this pump is easier to install than the Hayward - specifically the electrical connection. With regard to piping compatibility, I had to add 1.5" of height as compared to my Hayward installation. I also had to slightly shorten the 2" suction adapter in order to get it to work with my suction line. Nevertheless, these issues are relatively minor...the pump still does a good job of delivering flow and has no problem with self-priming in my configuration. The only reason that I withheld one star was bc of these two issues: 1) I prefer the sealing lid that is part of the Hayward design (with screws that hold down the lid) and 2) I prefer the pump basket that comes with the Hayward. The Aquastrong basket seems to have a little finer filtration; while that may be a good thing for the pump/sand filter, it also makes the filter basket harder to clean. However, for the money (and the warranty), this pump seems like a very good alternative to the Hayward options.

The Pump was well built and did the job as described. It did develop a glitch a month after installation. The folks at Aquastrong help me diagnose the problem. Issues are going to take place, and how a company handles those is a good indication of their integrity. They immediately sent out a replacement the next day. I received the replacement in a couple of days. It's good to see a company back up the quality of their product with terrific customer service. They certainly deserve the 5-stars awarded.
