Can't comment on longevity as I just purchased this summer. But boy is thing quiet, with fantastic pressure. They provide 4 different adapters (2 sizes) for plumbing. I removed the wiring plug from my old pump and just wired it in. The wiring was easy, plumbing took me longer , but that was due to me updating the plumbing system. Great value at a great price. I will buy again as long as it's not for awhile lol

Got this pump to replace my 1.5 hp Pentax. Pump works great very powerful and really circulates the water in my 27' above ground. Two things I will caution you about.... I do not realize exactly how powerful it would be. 1. It collapsed the regular vacuum hose I use with my manual pool vac brush head (the kind you attach to the brush head and vacuum yourself) It needs a professional heavy duty hose. 2. This model pump dies NOT have an on/off switch. Really surprised by that as it is the plug in model, not the hard wired one. I fixed that issue by ordering this switch on Amazon. I'll include a pic here. Plugs into the pump and then into your power with a switch in between. Works great. (If you end up needing this be sure to match your voltage with your pumps voltage, as they vary depending on the horsepower you're using) Otherwise this pump is amazing. It's quiet. Walking 20 feet away it can barely be heard. It fit my original plumbing setup easily, includes a couple adapters which was nice. Also includes a 2 year warranty. I scanned the included card with Q code, filled that form out the online and got a confirmation e-mail back immediately. So far I am really happy with this purchase. (Pic is as we were getting it in position, hadn't completely plumbed it yet)

This is a very powerful pump. I previously had a 1hp Hayward pool pump that finally gave out, and decided to go with this one, since it was supposed to be a little stronger at 1.5hp. To my surprise that .5hp makes a huge difference. Great packaging and good looking and sturdy pump. The initial challenge I faced was that the hose connector fittings were larger than my previous pump. I thought it would be just a plug and play, but it was not. I almost returned the pump, but decided to go to Loews and buy PVC piping to make it all fit. Make sure you use PVC Glue/Cement when connecting the PVC pipe to secure it, otherwise, the pressure of the water will disconnect the fitting. Trial by error. All in all, after a little bit of Mcguyvering, I was able to connect the hoses to the pump, and it works beautifully. For the price, this is a fantastic pump, where you could easily have spend double on a new pump. Just be sure to measure your hose fittings, and be prepared to adjust accordingly.

I didnt want to buy Chinese, but when the US pumps are $430 with 25% less HP and half the pumping capacity. You'd be dumb to not to. Had an earlier one of this same brand and it burned up in about 2 and a half years. The company was in Italy and unreachable for refund or support. So I was leery to get another, but with the lower price. I was able to afford the Amazon extended warranty so I would have Amazon back the purchase. 2 HP, 8000 GPM, vs. 1.5 HP and 4500 GPM, it was an obvious choice with intermittent timer run settings and easy access off button. This is the 4th in 16 years. So replacement is inevitable.

After going through two $2k+ Pentair Intelliflo VSF pumps that had catastrophic failures almost immediately after the warranty ran out I decided I was just going to try one of these $200 pumps. Even if it only lasted two seasons I'd get 20 years of pumps for the same price as a Pentair that was barely lasting 3 years anyway. My first Aquastrong lasted halfway through the 3rd season which still put me way ahead of the game. Overall I was super happy with it. It had stronger suction than the Pentair anyway. I just got the new one last week and these are even better. The first one was running fine but the seals around the control board failed and the board shorted out. The new one has a updated looking control compartment so hoping that has a stronger seal. The biggest difference is the new pump is whisper quiet. While cleaning the pool I had to keep walking over to the equipment to see if it was still running because he barely made a sound. It sits near our HVAC compressor and the compressor is now twice as loud as the pool pump. Don't waste your money on those name brand pumps that aren't going to last long enough to justify their insane prices.

Installed and operating; seems to be a great pump, no leaks, bubbles, nor noise. ...several drawbacks to consider, before buying. The first one came smashed because the packaging, more substantial than most products, just wasn't good enough for this weight. ..so, had to wait a week, with greeening pool in the heat, to receive another. Second, installation instructions are inadequate, and written to COVER THE ASS OF THE SUPPLIER. No wiring diagram, notes to only have professionals install, on and on. Gluing details are odd. I'm experienced, so I had no trouble, but this setup is NOT intended to be helpful to do-it-yourself types, buying from Amazon.
