This Aquastrong heat pump (75K BTU) was purchased early August 2025 and within a matter of weeks, my pool guy installed the system. I had gone from an Ecosmart tankless pool heater 18k 240 v to the Aquastrong heat pump. From the time the unit was installed and programmed it functioned so well. The unit was easy to program, and it was also easy to setup the application on my phone. I have run my Aquastrong heat pump for several weeks now and it didn’t coast as much to run the ecosmart 18k. The savings are phenomenal!! Within minutes the heat pump temperature had increased a degree or so. Granted I ran the heat pump though the night and with the morning light it was close to the target temperature. I have a 15K gallon pool. The only problem I had with this the heat pump was the application itself. somehow it had gotten out of wack. I just deleted the application and reinstalled and it seemed to sync perfectly with the unit. When I contacted customer service, they were responsive, very helpful and clear with their directions. The unit is beautiful, when it is on the fan produces a strong cool air. Wish I could channel the cool air into my house. :)). You will not be disappointed when you purchase this Aquastrong heat pump the value for you money is quite evident in your electric bill!

Easy to install, very pleased with performance thus far. 3600 gallon plunge pool has heated it very quickly. Averaging approximately 1-2 F per hour. Took over night (approx 13-15 hours) to get the pool from 73F to 93F. Has held steady in mid to upper 90s since we turned it on with lows in the 50s at night. 75F and Sun during the day definitely speeds up heating capabilities but very surprised at how well it held over night

This heat pump for my above ground pool is working perfectly. The installation and set up was very easy, I did it myself in 10 minutes. The unit is quiet and I especially like that it is a 120V plug in on a 20amp service. This is the same electrical circuit as my water circulating pump. Although the company is headquartered in China, their customer service has been great to deal with. Prompt responses, understanding of my communication and willingness to figure out any problems that I may have. My first purchased unit had a small internal water leak that could not be resolved. I returned the unit through Amazon and purchased a second unit. The return process was quick and effective. The new unit has been operating great. I would do business with Aquastrong again. So far this has been a terrible purchase. The instructions are really incomplete as you'll see in the photos. Product was delivered quickly, however the packaging was a bit torn at the bottom. When unpacking, I noticed that there was now power cable even thought mine is a HEX035 and rated for 120v. To add to the confusion, the instructions tell you to "plug in" the power cable, but one is apparently not provided according to their support. Their support is a day slow to respond, so don't expect quick response or live help. After 3 more days, I received a "complimentary" power cable, but then as I go back to reference instructions it doesn't tell you what terminals to connect to, not is there enough wiring to power the different terminals. Very confusing. I'll give them another shot to support me as I've sent the attached photos to them asking for guidance. If anyone has experience hooking this up, please let me know. Thanks!

Installation wasn't too bad. Setup was a breeze. Knocking off One star because wifi doesn't seem to work. In 30 hours, it heated my 15x 30 oval pool from 74°F to 84°F it was cloudy/overcast, and humidity was in high 80s. Didn't feel that humid because there was 5 to 10 mph breeze all day. Yes, I have a weather station and yes I know I'm a geek.

Easy to install and works great maintaining my 20k gallon pool a 88F. The controller to get fried after 1st rainstorm but Aquastrong customer service was fast to ship replacement and it was easy to replace. My only complaint is if the weatherproofing of the controller is a common problem why not better weatherproof it. Other than that I highly recommend this pool heater. Quality product and amazing customer service.

The media could not be loaded. Living in southern New Hampshire, the pool season is short (only 2 months this summer), especially with a back yard that does not get much sun. After many years of living with just a solar collector, I learned of highly efficient electric heat pumps and decided to try the Aquastrong HEX055 (for up to 16,000 gallon pools) for our 24' round above ground pool. It was set up on 8/26/25 and after getting past some initial issues with a minor documentation error and trouble connecting with the Tuya app, it is working great and has extended the late summer pool season already by 3 weeks, despite it being a below normal late August/early September here with lows around 50 degrees at night. We have had only one day reach 80 degrees and on that day we got the pool back up to 83 degrees (it was 68 the day we started using the heat pump). The system runs quietly and cannot even be heard given the sound of the pool pump. It has a nice on-board display and it is great having the Tuya App I can access from anywhere to check or set the temperature or to modify the On/Off schedule. I have to say the support from Aquastrong was fantastic helping me through the initial minor issues I encountered. I am really looking forward to next spring and summer when we can enjoy a 4-month pool season! I have included some photos and a video showing my setup, with the output from the solar collector connected to the input of the heat pump. You should keep in mind that you may need an electrician to set up the electrical needs. I needed a new 30 amp gfci breaker and a new 30 amp circuit from the panel to the outdoor junction box.
