I placed this in my canister filter because it was time to replace the media that was in the tank, and honestly I didn’t feel like going to the store so I went to amazon instead. THANK GOD I DID! My water is absolutely CRYSTAL CLEAR! I thought my water was clear before but now it’s so clear you can hardly tell the water is even in the tank, it’s like straight glass clear. I had my doubts when I bought this. I recently added a new fluval stratum substrate and it caused the water to brown. I removed 80% of the water and added more water. The water was brownish. Easy to change, I also bought the water polishing filter, cut the filter cloth to fit the refil filter( I will get tons out of the smallest cloth)together they make my tank crystal clear Out of the scraps from cutting to fit I made small pieces to clean algae off the glass. The media could not be loaded. I have the dual action pads and I ordered the polishing pads to go with them. The dual action pads are great and give you clear water but combining them with the polishing pads takes it to a whole other level!! It gives you crystal clear water!! The first pic was the condition of my tank b4 the pads. I found out through the help of aquatic experts,I had an algae issue.. their customer service is EXCELLENT!!! SHOUT OUT LEXI AND JENNIFER!!! They suggested what to use to fix the problem (api algae fix) and it worked!! PRAISE GOD!! now I can enjoy my tank and go add some more fish! When you order the action or polishing pads you become a part of a community where they are there to help and answer any questions who have! Good value as it's a large portion and you cut to size. I add to my HOB filter media and it seems to catch a lot of gunk when I do my filter cleaning.
