This roll of material is nice to have since you can cut to size for your filtration systems. It seems to be working well in my aquariums, and it will last quite a while since you get a good bit of it. Overall 5/5 rating and would most definitely buy again and recommend.

This stuff works great. I cut it to put in the back of my fish tank as a "pre-filter" before the water gets to the main filter and it works great. I used to have to replace my filter every month or so but now I just rinse this every week while doing my water change and it keeps the water looking great.

Great for AIO Reef Tanks I’ve been using this filter floss in my Innovative Marine AIO 20 reef tank at the office, and it’s performing just as expected. Cutting it down to size is simple, and the material is easy to handle. Efficient Filtration The floss does an excellent job of keeping the water clean by trapping debris and particles. It’s noticeably improved the clarity of the tank, which is always a big win for maintaining a healthy reef environment. Long Roll for Multiple Uses With a 72-inch length, this roll is enough to keep me stocked for a while. It’s premium quality, so I don’t have to replace it as often as other filter materials. It’s a cost-effective solution for keeping the tank clean without frequent maintenance.

Filter Media Filter Floss Roll is 12x72x.75-1 Inches. It is nice size roll, and a lot less expensive that what you can find in an aquarium store. Easy to cut, and place in my filter. I need the 12” on one side and I can make about 6 sheets for my wet dry sump filter. I wouldn’t say this is a very high density but it does a good job of filtering organic matter, uneaten food, and algae from my tank. I liked that this filter floss pad was not vacuumed packed and was just shy of 1" thick. This filter floss has good flow even weeks later.

This is the first time using a non-oem filter for my canister filter. This pad is no where near as dense as the one that came with my Eheim filter. When cutting to size, it was very flakey and left a bunch of fluff. They dulled my shears, that for sure! The pictures are after 2 weeks in my 36 g planted freshwater tank, with sand substrate, 5 fish, 2 snails and tannins (it's a very understocked tank). The first burst, there was a bit of filter particle, but that was to be expected. As long as you do regular water changed I would not be worried about polyester particles accumulating in your tank. This filter is the last thing the water goes through before returning to my tank. After 2 weeks the filter looked gross, but after wringing it out in the sink, it looked like weak coffee (well, you should wring it out in old tank water, but this is just a proof of concept), I'd count this as reusable or at least it'll last far longer than 2 weeks. The fibers still looked good; my canister flow did not decrease in the 2 weeks I've had this installed. Does it work? My water has always been clear, clear but brown due to the tannins. I suppose it works as anything physically catching debris. I think it was mostly the tannins and not food particles nor sand substrate. I do have pantyhose physically covering the intake, so there shouldn't be any sand getting into the filter. It's strange to me that the country of origin or manufacturing location was not listed on the packaging. There's no glaring typos or misspellings on the package like you would see in knock off products. It feels less dense than some light quilt batting that I've used. Overall, an economical replacement to canister filters. When you cut these, make sure you have a way to resharpen your shears or be prepared to have very dull shears. Don't use your grandmother's fabric shears!
