I got this case to go with a 10th generation iPad. The iPad fits nicely in the case and the case makes it easy to still access the buttons on the iPad (Touch ID switch and volume buttons). The case also has appropriately located cutouts for the speakers, microphone and rear camera. The keyboard feels pretty good for such a thin keyboard. Pairing its Bluetooth signal with the iPad was easy, so this makes it a nice way to take notes. While I do not need to take notes very often, having the keyboard with this case does allow me to use this in place of a laptop that I would traditionally use on my trips. However, most of the time, I am using my iPad for more traditional tablet activities, like watching a movie, surfing the web, or checking my email. For the times when I am not expecting to take notes or to be in a rough environment, I am thinking of getting a lighter case that protects my iPad, although maybe not to the extent of this case, and does not include a keyboard. According to my measurements, the iPad itself weighs 471 grams. The case itself (without the keyboard) weighs 429 grams, and when the keyboard is added, the case now weighs 596 grams. The extra weight is definitely noticeable, so unless I am going somewhere that I think I need both the extreme protection this case offers and the keyboard, I will be thinking twice about whether or not I would be able to get by with a lighter case.

This is everything you'd expect it to be. The case works well for my needs and the keyboard makes it easy to use this for work and sending emails vs. the touchscreen. It is a bit on the thicker side, but I don't mind. I like my notebook with a little heft to it. The keyboard synced well with the tablet and holds a sufficient charge for working. It's nice that they both use the same charger so I'm not screwing around with multiple cords. Overall, highly recommend.

Adds security and protection without adding bulk and weight, making ipad much like a laptop. Strong magnets hold devices in place. Keyboard charges via USB C, but took a bit to charge with a small block charger. Battery lasts a very long time, days of regular use. Easy to connect via bluetooth, which also works with any other device as well, quick to switch between ipad and phone, making typing out text easy too. flat style pencil stores in case. Multiple viewing adjustments are fast to adjust via slots formed in the case.

UPDATE 12/22/24 I ordered a different brand and while there are still challenges with things like the arrow keys and adding spaces, there is almost ZERO lag and my typos have been reduced by about 90%. Plus, the case opens and closes without repositioning the keyboard. I did lose a holder for my digital pencil however. ------------------------- OPAKIT Keyboard Case for iPad 10th Generation Review I had high hopes for this iPad case/keyboard combo, but it is proving to be less than stellar. I have been using it for most of a week for light typing a couple/three times a day. Pros: - Price. Not bad at all for both a case and a wireless keyboard. - The fit is very good. - Keyboard is removable and can be used for any Bluetooth device needing a keyboard. - Lightweight. - Seems to be sturdily built and should protect your investment. - Case folds up. - The stand keeps the iPad in position very well and is adjustable to a degree. - Battery seems to last a long time (it goes to sleep quickly to save power so I never bother to turn it off). - Speaker volume not affected by case. - It has a slot to hold a tablet pencil. Cons: - All the Bluetooth keyboards that I have used suffer from the "missing keystroke" syndrome. There is generally a delay when you first start typing while the Bluetooth signal wakes up. Sometimes this latency is a minor annoyance. I am afraid in this case it is a MAJOR issue. Not only does it miss the first letter or two when you first start. But it drops letters all throughout the typing process. It does not need a significant delay to lose the connection. It drops throughout your typing session, resulting in LOTS and LOTS of typos. But Bluetooth may not be entirely to blame. It could be the keys themselves. I say this because when I really pound on each key my accuracy seems to increase. But sometimes the errors are so bad that I have to restart the iPod and keyboard to get the bugs chased out that day. (More than once my insertion point insisted on going back to the beginning of my typing no matter where I placed it with my finger.) - The case does fold up. But not the way you'd think it would. You have to first remove the keyboard (it is magnetically attached) and then position it completely differently. Only then will the case fold up nice and neat. I don't move it about so cannot comment on the weight. It is a non-issue for my needs. - Touch ID is a bit hit and miss. The slot for exposing the sensor does not play well with my big hands. - Arrow keys are also hit and miss. Sometimes they work, sometimes they do not. I cannot get YouTube to constantly recognize left and right arrows to forward and reverse videos. (It may be that I am missing the “magic key combos that engage this behavior but after getting then arrows to work once I have not been able to repeat that feature. I know it has to do with the arrows first selecting that portion of the interface (a blue frame will appear around the scrub zone but it beats the heck out of me how to make it work with this keyboard. - I cannot jump through web pages by using the up and down arrows. But they do work for most online ordering forms. - You cannot hold the space bar down to skim through words for fixing typos, like you can on an iPhone. You have to use your fingers to create an insertion point. (But I am not sure this is possible with ANY keyboard for iPod. I do not have another one to compare with.) - The "Delete" key deletes to the right, not the left like every other Mac keyboard. This was driving me nuts until I finally trained my fingers to use the key with the "Delete Left" icon to delete "normally" for Macs (the one with the little arrow with an "x" in the shaft and that is pointing left). I have read the reviews and a lot of folks seem to like it quite well, so maybe I got a lemon. Regardless, this thing is so error prone that I will have to switch to a different brand to keep my sanity from all the typos!

The detachable keyboard is perfect for my needs. Being able to quickly snap it on and off depending on my needs is super handy. I've had no issues with the bluetooth connection as well. The case is sturdy enough to hold my iPad securely without any issues. Space to hold the pencil is also nice touch to the iPad case.

The case is heavier than I expected. The cover appears cloth like with a texture. It is attractive, and it does not show scratch marks when I scratch it with my fingernail. My iPad clips in very securely, it isn't going anywhere. I am typing on the keyboard now, it connected and works fine. The case closes with a wide magnetic flap. This case, I believe, offers good protection for my iPad and the cover material looks nicer than ones that are obviously plastic.
