I’ve been using these on my filter for my 55 gallon aquarium and they work great. There’s not much to say except that they do their job and they do it good. Definitely recommend

Bought these to use as a prefilter on my Oase Filtosmart 60 placed on a 3D printed adapter. These get the job done! Keeps my shrimpers safe from being sucked up, and it was way cheaper that at my LFS.

These are smaller than the usual sponge filters. So they fit my intake better. And the mesh is not so tight that I have to rinse daily. It’s been 3 wks and I haven’t had to rinse and no sign of having to any time soon. I feel the less disturbing of the filter is better for my livestock. It doesn’t me

Easy to slip on the filter intake but make sure you know the diameter of the intake tube. The size I purchased will fit only smaller sized filter tubes like Aquaclears

I used these to cover my filter to prevent the fish and plant debre from getting sucked up. I think I received 6 sponges (or something like that) and I only needed 1.5 for the project so l have plenty left over. The size I ordered fit perfectly and does exactly as I was hoping.

The filter is less dense than the OEM filter. Works great but I would be cautious if you are using it in a tank with fry.

Fit the Fluval/Aquaclear 110

Wanted something to keep fish from getting sucked up and found this. Was about to order the 1” version but bought one size down per another review and it worked perfectly! Did not slow flow down at all and now I’m not worried about my fish getting sucked up.

very small and no stretch clogs very fast

These are very small and thin not much surface area, so it clogs up fast very little stretch to go over end of filter intake only suitable for a small low flow filter like air powered filter. I could not use these on power filter it was very hard to pull over head you have to have exact size and it c
logged up too fast so i switched to giant sized ones that actually stretch and have lots of surface area i just trim them if too big.

Shrimplets still get into the HOB filter

Bought this to keep shrimplets out of my HOB, as my first prefilter (fluval) was clogging up in 3 days, and the one I bought from Aquarium Co-op, was too course and the HOB was filled with shrimplets. This one, while keeping more shrimplets out of the filter than the Aquarium Co-op one, still let som
e in, so I will have to knock a few points off for that. I'm not sure if fry can get through, but as far as function goes, it keeps bigger things from getting into the filter. I'll probably keep looking for a prefilter that is more fine than this, but more course than the fluval.

Perfect for Tidal Filters

This is the correct size if you are running a Tidal filter. I am running three and the ones I bought were too small. They had to be stretched. These are the right size. They are course too. Perfect for the job!
