I've attached this to go into a 1" PVC and I run several air lines from the pipe that power sponge filters, uplift powered egg catchers, etc. Pump has more than enought power to supply air for my 4 tanks and BBS hatchery. This air pump runs quieter than any of this type I've ever heard before. It has excellent filtration for incoming air, recommends replacing the diaphragms when they wear out from use, and has the replacement parts readily available. It's got bubbles roiling out of four big air stones and could easily handle more. We've used a series of extremely loud air pumps for our Koi pond for the past decade or so, so loud they've been the first thing we hear when we step out back. They've been pretty much 'disposable', since I've been unable to find replacement parts for them, so they've been tossed out after a couple years. 1 year 3 months and this is the third or fourth time I have had to replace the diaphragm gaskets. The problem is the pump is sealed so it generates heat wich softens the rubber material and it tears and does not last long. The rubber diaphram must not be rated for for heat. Update 2 years of use have to replace diaphram gaskets at least two to four times a year. Don't buy spend the money now and buy a piston air pump. ... show more
