This air pump runs quieter than any of this type I've ever heard before. It has excellent filtration for incoming air, recommends replacing the diaphragms when they wear out from use, and has the replacement parts readily available. It's got bubbles roiling out of four big air stones and could easily handle more. We've used a series of extremely loud air pumps for our Koi pond for the past decade or so, so loud they've been the first thing we hear when we step out back. They've been pretty much 'disposable', since I've been unable to find replacement parts for them, so they've been tossed out after a couple years. This is for the AP-60. I can’t speak of the longevity as I’ve only had it 3 days running 24/7, but this is the quietest air pump I’ve ever owned and very cool running too. To me that says it’s built well and should go towards it lasting a decent amount of time. The rebuild kits are inexpensive unlike some other brands out there and rebuilding pumps is part of the deal where you spend extra money so it’s nice they don’t charge 1/3 the cost of the pump. I have it running with 2 4” and 1 8” air stones in a moving bed filter and it more than meets my needs for that purpose! ... show more

Supposed to have a 1 year warranty but have not been able to get support to work out an exchange. Bought it 4 months ago. It started to smell like it was burning. stopped pumping air. You would assume the diaphragm's broke but the burning smell was horrible. contacted seller through Amazon They asked for pictures of the inside of a 4 month old pump with 1 year warranty. I obliged. Took my time to open the product. Took pictures sent them pictures and have not received a response. Hope to get some resolution. However not yet. Will update review when I do. ... show more

It works great does a lot better than one that was on there. Does in fact his does even better consider? It was a $100 less than replacing the original. The only thing wrong was it did not have the clamp. You're supposed to be in it to hold the tube on. But I had one to replace it. So there's no issue there. Would definitely buy again if I need it ... show more
