This air pump runs quieter than any of this type I've ever heard before. It has excellent filtration for incoming air, recommends replacing the diaphragms when they wear out from use, and has the replacement parts readily available. It's got bubbles roiling out of four big air stones and could easily handle more. We've used a series of extremely loud air pumps for our Koi pond for the past decade or so, so loud they've been the first thing we hear when we step out back. They've been pretty much 'disposable', since I've been unable to find replacement parts for them, so they've been tossed out after a couple years. I got a couple of the repair kits and expect to be using this pump for a long time. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Look at photo, about 17db when turned on. Too loud to run in open indoor. Might work if use outdoor and run the line inside. Very sturdy build. Wish it's not as louded. I tried open all line or closed all lines, the noise level stays the same. Doesn't come with adjustable valve and instructions manual didn't mention the need to install blow off valve to prevent back pressure build up. ... show more

1 year 3 months and this is the third or fourth time I have had to replace the diaphragm gaskets. The problem is the pump is sealed so it generates heat wich softens the rubber material and it tears and does not last long. The rubber diaphram must not be rated for for heat.

So far the pump is performing without any issues. I have a few of this pump to run 12000 gallon fish tanks. The pumps runs 24/7 and supply air to 4 diffusers.
