My husband finally put this item up in the bathroom next to the tub yesterday. We just moved into a new place, and I was worried that the tile would be slippery as I got out of the tub, and I didn't want to fall, so I bought this. I told him where I wanted it, and that's where he put it. It would have been easier if we'd marked it with a pencil, but we did use a level to make sure it was level before final installation. There are instructions, which are good. He was just peeved that the pilot holes were hard to screw in by hand. He had to use the drill, but you're supposed to put the screws into wood, so that's not surprising to me. The escutcheons fit well, and cover the "business" part of the assembly against the wall. I tried it out yesterday after installation, and it really made me feel better about getting out of the tub. Not hard to assemble; hardest part is screwing it into the wall without an angle. Gotta use a level. Can't just visualize. All in all, very happy with it. Necessary safely device for me. A+ I've got it in a rubbed brass/bronze bathroom, and the plain black doesn't stand out as being different, esp. with a towel hung on it. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I like that this grab bar is ADA Compliant. Have double purpose. It is a safety device and also have a shelf. I chose the one with the glass shelf because it is very practical. It will be installed in the bathroom as shown in photo, and a contractor will do that. Will measure the wall to install it per ADA. Bar came with the screws needed for install in wall. As I’m getting old and also problems with knees, I need safety of movements in the bathroom, including the shower. I case of need, I can hold myself on to the bar and helps in avoiding a fall. The grab is heavy, can hold my weight, can hold the soap, shampoo, and others toiletries, is beautiful and shining and match with the bathroom accessories. No matter the age, everyone should have this grab bar installed in the bathroom. Have space for the toiletries and aids in the safety of the person. ... show more

The AquaChase ADA Compliant Grab Handrail with Towel Bar is a solid grab bar with a bonus of having a towel bar below. This helps to minimize the holes in putting in the walls. Installation is a bit different, the round mounting plates are not pre installed. It's not a huge deal, but was a surprise (I've been installing a lot of grab bars lately and this is a first). Note that it does NOT come with drywall anchors, so you may need to provide your own. I don't think this is an issue as I typically don't use the small ones that come with stuff anyway, but plan accordingly. I'm happy with my purchase and would buy again. ... show more
