It arrived promptly, was as expected. Quality manufacturing. I used it on a 2 day hike on the AT in MD first day had rain, I pitched it in a diamond configuration, I stayed dry, no leaks on seams or anywhere on the tarp. The second day got chilly and windy so that night I pitched it in a square storm configuration with some shock cord tensioners. It stayed night and taught and no rips tears or other signs of stress. My only wish is if it had a few more tie outs along the ridge and sides, (not the edges, plenty there). I used a button and cord to make a pullout for the side with no problems caused on the tarp. Seems quite durable. Weight is great for Silny. Of course it's not as light a cuben fiber but at the price I'm all in. Would buy again and recommend to a friend.

This tarp is amazing. It will withstand a LOT. I had mine out throughout the winter to block some wind and trap in some of my heat while smoking (I know I know, I need to quit.) It stood up to a lot. I experienced zero leaks. The tie offs are all extremely well sewn and made to stand up to a LOT. Unfortunately there must have been a pin hole where the sewing machine missed the seam, along the seam line. My tarp developed a tear right where that pinhole must have been, along the seam. I feared I would have issues with the 2 year warranty against defects. I have had such issues with other companies before who have similar warranties. First of all, I had a response from the company within the day I sent my email. After a very simple confirmation of defect process that was taking a picture to show the damage, they sent me a new tarp, which arrived already. The turn around time was less than a week from contact, to having a new tarp in my hands. I couldn't ask for a better experience with a tarp or with a company's customer service experience. Aqua quest stands behind their products and they are absolutely worth the money. I will not hesitate to continue to purchase their products.

On a overnight hike in Tennessee in April, had expected rain to taper off, had expected temperatures in the 40's. Well it didn't turn out as planned. On the 5 mile hike into the campsite we had snow and sleet. We were sure to have wet wood at the site and just nasty conditions. We quickly strung up this tarp at the site put a couple of chairs under it and started a small fire on a flat rock under the tarp. Once the fire got going we picked up the rock and moved it a few feet away, by then it didn't matter how wet the wood was. If we didn't have this tarp the trip would have been a total loss, we would have been in our tents trying desperately to stay warm. You could make do with a $15 tarp from your local hardware store, but you wouldn't get as much use out of it. This tarp is light, it is thin, but incredibly durable, the tie out points are sturdy and the placement of them give you a multitude of options for configurations. My tarp saved the trip...all there is to it.

Strong, lightweight and versatile. It packs down surprisingly small. On its first use, it took a hammering from really nasty weather. I set it up in anticipation of the storms, with its back to the wind, a center ridge line, pegged it to the ground on the windward side, tied several tight guy lines to higher points, and gutter lines to prevent pooling. The tarp stood up to weather unharmed. No leakage despite driving rain. I particularly love all the loops on the seams. It means that the tarp can be configured to any size or shape by turning sections or corners underneath.

This tarp will be for a variety of uses outdoors in a variety of conditions/terrain. I love how compact and light it is, (and the high quality storage bag) so it can be taken wherever desired. There is adequate room within the storage bag to include 50 to 100 ft. of lightweight cord, (paracord or thinner) plus 2 or more tent stakes if/as desired without being crowded. There are LIGHTER tarps on the market, but for a considerably higher cost, plus the thinner/lighter tarps are often less durable. This tarp is a great quality and value for the price.

So far, this tarp deserves the 5 stars. Arrived a day early. I opened it up in the yard to inspect and all the seems looked well stitched and water proof. I used this on a 2 day Backpacking trip in the Allegheny National forest and it worked out great! It rained pretty hard for a few hours one of the nights and it kept all my gear dry as I slept. I even had some fun trying out the different shelter techniques I’ve seen online. So far so good!

I bought this tarp for a backyard party when Mother Nature threatened (& delivered!!) a rainy forecast. The tarp arrived on time and was neatly packaged in a stuff sack about the size of a pair of men's shoes. I am a former Outward Bound Instructor so I know a good outdoor product when I see one and this tarp met and exceeded my expectations! It is super lightweight, so despite its size, it was easy for me to put up by myself. And despite the light-weight fabric, it didn't let a drop of rain come through, even though some rain pooled in one area overnight. I used lightweight ropes, secured them using the multiple tie out loops. The prolific tie-outs made it easy to secure the tarp to various anchor spots around our patio. I used a combination of easy half-hitches, bowlines and trucker hitches. We were totally dry and everyone in attendance was really impressed by this product. It worked out perfectly and gave us the use of our lovely patio in the rain. I thought this product was a little expensive, and you can certainly find cheaper tarps, but this one is light-weight enough to take backpacking and use on the trail. I would definitely buy this again, & just might buy a second one!!
