The media could not be loaded. Using this as a water agitator in my 10g salt water sump/refugium system with Chaeto. Size is perfect for my needs but more powerful than what I prefer so I did what the other reviewer recommended. Wrapped the power head with a piece of filter foam to tame the flow and it works! As a bonus it also catches unwanted little Chaeto pieces floating around the sump. Can't hear the motor with all the other equipment noise in my system. Suction strength is just right for the power and size. Connected it to a timer synced to turn on when the Chaeto light comes on. What more can you ask for at this price? Only question is durability. I'll be happy if it lasts even half the life of the other power heads in my display tank. ... show more

Super surprised How perfect this worked for me, I use it in my SPS Micro Reef tank that's 7.1 Gallon. I needed to upgrade the 150GPH pump i had to something significantly stronger but not overbearing. It would be 5 stars if the motor and shaft assembly wasn't so shifty. When I first plugged it in there was zero flow and a lot of noise, I took it apart (which is super easy and convenient, took maybe 5 seconds to do so) and made sure the Magnetic shaft attached to the Propeller was correctly inserted and functioning properly. When i had secured that accordingly there was zero noise and a ton of flow! This was 24 hours ago. I've stopped it a couple of times for at least 10-20 minutes to feed corals and make adjustments in the tank. There has only been one other time where the magnetic shaft/propeller ' locked up' or 'Studdard' when first starting it up again but quickly corrected itself and flow went back to normal. For the Price I'm truly impressed and satisfied. The way it's assembled will either be its downfall or its success so only time will tell. Will return to update review as much as i can, I think if you're going to rely on something this low priced with hundreds or even thousands of dollars' worth of SPS corals there needs to be extensive reviews and testing done to do so, as of now, i give it 4.5 stars ... show more

I would not recommend this at all. It seems Amazon is selling more and more new China junk every day. Quality is not at all a concern for Amazon. They've become as bad as Walmart.
