Easy to set up and use but expensive. Exactly what you expect from an apple product. Overall I think it's worth it if you can swing it if you, like me, just want your technology to work and not give you an additional headache with navigating 47 remotes. This remote controls the tv (volume and power) and system so we don't have extra clutter. We switched from an old chrome cast and the experience is night and day - it now feels seamless. I have been through Roku TVs, Google TVs, and many other streamer brands- none of them has been able to provide the premium viewing experience that the Apple TV 4K provides. Since it is connected to the Apple ecosystem, connecting to Apple HomePod accessories, your Airpods, or your phone’s Continuity Camera has never been easier, and screen sharing between your Apple devices is extremely simple to use. Throughout my usage, I have noticed my Apple TV is typically warm, but it is only during excessive use that it happens, and it is never at an alarming temperature. The dashboard and it’s UI is beautiful, there’s plenty of channels to choose from and they have been made specifically to support the Apple TV, which makes functionality and user support much more efficient. The remote control is amazing, being able to use your voice to enter Netflix PINs and to navigate or open apps has never been easier. The remote feels high quality and made well.     • Makes it easy to ditch the cable TV providers.
We decided to cut the cable on our cable TV provider and switch to all streaming services, adding Hulu Live for access to the TV networks that my wife loves. By putting one of these on our TVs, we could turn the older 'dumb TVs' into 'smart TVs' and, even better, they all work the same, regardless of brand. When we add a new app to one of the devices, it magically appears on all of the others in the house in the exact same place. I got the version w/ the best resolution that was available and paid the extra $20/unit for the one with the faster wifi connection ability and the ability to be connected via CAT5 cable (for the few TVs that we have near wifi extenders or the internet service gateway device). It's an Apple device, so it has few hiccups and works smoothly.
