I’m always a little nervous when purchasing a refurbished product, but I’ve had pretty good luck on Amazon so far. Here’s my experience with my new-to-me iPad to help anyone who may be skeptical or afraid to pull the trigger on this purchase. Here’s what to expect. As for condition? The iPad I received came in very good cosmetic shape, with only a few minor scratches on the screen, but unfortunately there was one very deep scratch that is about half an inch long that I can see even when the display is on. It is pretty easy to get past and only noticeable when you are very close to the screen. The aluminum enclosure is in near perfect condition and looks very close to brand-new. There may be a very tiny nick here and there, but nothing that is easily spotted or a cause of concern. Battery life for me may be slightly degraded from when it was straight out of the box, but iPads have awesome battery life for pretty much any situation, so it still lasts a very long time. And also note that the updated iPad Pros that released in 2018 charge with a USB-C cable. This means a standard Apple lightning connector will not work. I have been through a ton of what this iPad can do and it works beautifully for all I’ve asked from it. The display is phenomenal. 12.9 inches from corner to corner, which is a joy to work on. There’s plenty of room to work, study, and play. Watching movies and shows is also a fantastic experience being all-screen. Even 4 years later in late-2022, this thing is speedy quick and packs plenty of performance for your day-to-day tasks. It doesn’t skip a beat and Apple is still providing software updates for it as well. The camera is also very clear for a tablet and offers great performance for what it is. So far, I’d say this is an incredible deal on such a powerful device that feels like it will have no problem powering into the future for many more years to come. UPDATE: (10 Months Later) AUG 2023 - We are almost at a year now of the ‘refurbed’ iPad Pro and it’s still one heck of a performer with no issues or slow down to speak of. It just got updated to the new iPadOS 14 public beta so it’s still got a ton of life left software-wise. It does so much that even after so long with it, I’m STILL finding more things it does that I never knew it could… I’m still going to ‘daily-drive’ it for as long as it lets me as it has done everything I’ve asked of it and more. Since it is nearly 5 years old though, the battery likely needs to be replaced. I’m still getting great battery life as I only have to charge it maybe once every 2-3 days with mild to moderate use. With heavy use, I still bet you could get over a full day out of it easily. I find it very strange that you can find your battery health on iPhone and Apple Watch, but it’s non-existent on the iPad. At an Apple Store, the 12.9 inch Pro (3rd Gen) requires an estimated $119 service fee for a new battery. That’s a lot, so be prepared if you plan to ride it out for as long as you can. To sum it all up, if I would’ve known I’d have such a positive experience with this iPad being refurbished and all, I wouldn’t have been even the slightest bit nervous to purchase and would no problem do it again. Every experience with a refurbished product will be different. But if you go in with low expectations, you might just end up with a gem that exceeds them in every way possible. Be very mindful that the tablet IS in fact renewed. Meaning it belong to someone, they didn't want it, and the sellers test the iPad to make sure it's still functional before selling it. There is a chance will be some slight flaws with your tablet that maybe over looked when you receive it but nothing that would hinder the performance of the tablet. Sometimes things get over looked, it happens. With that said I am absolutely in love with the quality of my tablet. A friend of mine recommended me this seller since it's where they got their iPad so I took her word on it. I wanted to wait a bit before making a review incase something happens to the tablet but so far I haven't come across any major issues. First of all it came in the mail 3 days early than expected so I was super excited to get home from work and try it out. Everything is super responsive to touch and to my pen, and the magnetic charge for the pen works as intended and charges fast. The battery on the tablet itself works fine, the only thing I noticed was that it takes a while for it to charge but that could just be my charger itself but the tablet does last for the whole day when I'm drawing and when I plug it in at night before I go to bed I wake up and it's ready for me to get back to work on. Minor scratches on the back and corner of the tablet but nothing that a case cover can't hide. Both sides of the speakers work so I can play music while I draw or YouTube videos, sound quality is alright but nothing worth bragging about. I haven't tried video calling with it or the camera because it's not something I would do with it, however when I hook it up to my computer to do streaming there is no latency. Overall I'm pleased with the product, it runs like new and it does what I intend for it to do- draw digital art with. If you're looking for an iPad that won't break your bank this is worth, plus they do guarantee a return or exchange if there is anything wrong with it. I say it's worth buying, but don't expect a brand spanking new iPad straight out of an apple box. There will be some small flaws with it but nothing that hinders the performance of the iPad. ... show more

The ipad was received well packaged and in very good condition. Very minimal signs of wear, just a couple little nicks along the metal edges. Screen is in excellent condition. Unit works as expected, battery life seems good so far. I've had one of these for work issued to me new several years ago which lived in a folio case from the start, and this one is in equal if not slightly better condition than my work one. I was expecting only a wi-fi enabled unit, but the one they sent me is also cellular capable. Nice to have the option to add a data plan if I want to. They did accidentally include a lightning cable (this is a USB-C unit), but wasn't expecting it to come with a charger anyway so not an issue. ... show more

Now that I got this IPad I am very protective over it. The iPad is huge and its works wonders. I feel as though the reason people are giving this device a bad review is because they did expect what they were gonna get. Which they should’ve because it says before ordering which level of rein-furbished you want. If you put regular or good. You should’ve be shocked at what you get. Keep in mind that when order something rein-furbished you expect for it to be good the same as you would expect it to be if you brought it from the actual Apple Store, and that’s just not the case. I’m so grateful and happy for this product. It’s unfortunate for those who had to deal with a broken screen or a few scratches. The battery seem normal. I’m using my iPad for business purposes so if you’re not going to be using it constantly especially if you got other devices than I think you should not be worried about battery life.
