After consulting with Apple tech support for 1 hour and 45 minutes fixing my old laptop. He was able to get it fixed by the way. It is a 2019 MacBook Pro by the way (7) years old. With that in itself is a testimony for Apple Support as there was no hesitation for providing me support with an older device. Him and I had a really good discussion of which direction I need to go to continue my business with my laptop he suggested this Apple MacBook Air. Now of course I went with the bigger RAM with more storage and in this day and age, technology is getting better day by day and would be obsolete more quickly than years prior. I cannot believe how well this computer works. Doing my reporting, heck everything I do on a computer, this computer does it with ease. It is like I have a 350 engine with a supercharger in a Ford Ranger for you motor/car junkies. This device is super fast, beautiful graphics, process many applications at once without missing a beat. Though I do miss the Touch Bar on my older MacBook, I can definitely look way past it as the performance of this computer is amazing to say the least. Thank you so much Apple for helping me get into something performs flawless and swiftly.

TL;DR Tiny laptop. Ridiculous battery life. Stays completely silent. Somehow ended up becoming the machine I use the most. Full Review I bought the 13” MacBook Air (24 gig 1TB) mostly because I wanted something small and light that I could drag around everywhere. I spend a lot of time working out of coffee shops, customer sites, my car, random parking lots… basically wherever I happen to end up. I expected good battery life. I expected it to be fast enough. I did not expect this thing to quietly become my main computer. This thing is just stupid fast. Programs open instantly. Browser tabs are a non-issue. Remote sessions, terminals, SSH, multitasking… it just does not seem to care. I even compiled software on it and it finished way faster than I expected. Battery life is where things get weird. With most laptops I subconsciously keep track of battery percentage all day. With this? Not really. I just use it and eventually realize hours later I probably should look at the battery. The fan noise is also impressive. Mainly because there isn’t any. No fan. None. You keep expecting it to get annoyed and spin up into tiny jet engine mode and it just sits there silently judging you. The keyboard is good. The trackpad is still absurdly good. Apple somehow ruined laptop trackpads for me years ago and continues to do so. Now for the minor complaints: You’re still living the dongle life. If you connect random junk like I do — flash drives, ethernet, HDMI, weird adapters, tools, and assorted tech nonsense — you’ll want a dock. Gaming is also still a “yes… but…” situation. Can it game? Sure. Is that why you buy a MacBook Air? Absolutely not. What surprised me most though is that I own larger and technically more powerful machines, but I keep grabbing this one instead. It’s light. Battery lasts forever. It’s fast. And I forget I’m carrying it. That’s a pretty hard combination to beat.

As usual, Apple has made a great computer with great upgrades! Just a warning about delivery. Amazon delivered the laptop to an insecure area without requiring a signature, despite the fact that I called ahead to check with customer service about this, and they had confirmed to me that it would have a signature required to complete delivery. I had also previously tried to send this to an Amazon locker or secure pickup location but was told by the app that it was too expensive to do so. Which meant that I really was relying on that signature. We have had tech deliveries stolen from our porch before so I was very concerned about this. I am glad to say that I was home when the item was delivered and noticed the delivery notification on my phone right away and was able to relatively quickly get the package. It was also in a regular Amazon box which attracted less attention than some items that have shipped in obvious boxes. Still, I wish I could be assured this won’t happen again. I will probably go to the Mac store next time.

My wife bought me the Apple 2026 MacBook Air 13-inch Laptop with M5 chip: Built for AI, 13.6-inch Liquid Retina Display, 24GB Unified Memory, 1TB SSD, 12MP Center Stage Camera, Touch ID, Wi-Fi 7; Starlight This laptop is fantastic, all the bells and whistles of a very fast MacBook Air you could hope for, operates as smooth as silk. This was my second MacBook Air, my last one being a 2017 that worked to the end, the only problem being Apple discontinued updates for it around 18 months ago. I also enjoyed the older versions USB and image card port on the 2017, but bought myself an Anker seven slot device that covers all the bases for using copiers, memory sticks etc. Happy camper on all fronts, must be doing something right

You would think Amazon and Apple would coordinate to ensure a valuable item like this are not left in broad daylight at the front door, visible from the street. And yes, Amazon has specific instructions to tuck packages away at the side door, not front! But Apple could probably assist with extra instructions/labeling to instruct drivers to handle with care and not just throw on the doorstep in plain view!

I had fairly high hopes going in, but I was not expecting such great battery life: on my windows laptop I can play sims 4 for about an hour and a half unplugged, before it dies. On this Mac I played for 3 hours (on low medium settings + low power mode) and it was still at 60%! A miraculous feeling
