I recently purchased the Apple Late-2018 MacBook Air (Renewed) with the Core i5, 13-inch display, 8GB RAM, and 256GB storage, and I am genuinely impressed. I was a bit nervous about buying a renewed laptop, but this MacBook looks and performs like it’s brand new. I have bought refurbished/renewed electronics, for myself and others, from Amazon and other places for years and never had a problem until this transaction. This product was described by the seller as "Renewed - Excellent" but was in Poor condition. The laptop had three very visible scratches on the outside cover, with additional scratches on the Apple logo. Worse yet, the backlit keyboard had MAJOR defects as 4 keys (A, S, E and D) had the letters completely worn off (and were illuminated as unreadable white blobs). Worse yet, a sticker had been haphazardly placed over the top of the D key. Not only was the sticker not even centered on the key, but a sticker on a key of a backlit keyboard disables the backlight functionality for that key. Horrible. I have owned a lot of computers over the years and have never experienced keys wearing off on a keyboard. This thing was either abused or defective from the start. I have two laptops that I use to run my business. Both bought refurbished or used (without being refurbished) and both have been great for multiple years and still have no physical defects despite a lot of travel and heavy use. Overall, VERY disappointing and deserves a 1-star review, only because I cannot give it a zero. I received a return authorization and will be sending it back for a refund. This disappointing experience also resulted in my daughter not having a computer for her first day of high school orientation. I’m buying another one from a different seller today, so at least she will have it for the first day of class next week. There should be some sort of quality control process for allowing sellers to market renewed products under the Amazon name. Maybe there is and this one just slipped through the cracks. Update as of 9/10/24, I have still not received my refund or any communication from Amazon or the seller.

Looks nice, is a bit beat up (scuffs and scratches on the top and a scratch on the screen) Battery life is surprisingly good. only major complaints is that the up arrow key does not work at all. not sure if its stuck or just broken. but it just doesn't work. Thankfully, I rarely use it but it is a hassle for things like writing papers for school.

I bought this computer from Amazon and overall, I’m really happy with it. It runs fast, looks nice, and handles my everyday tasks easily. The setup was simple and everything worked right out of the box. There were only a few small issues like charge issue and a couple scrapes . It just minor things like some updates taking longer than expected and the fan being a bit loud at times. Other than that, it’s been great so far and definitely worth the price.

The media could not be loaded. The laptop overall is clean and very sturdy. The storage runs fine, the sleek design makes it easier to see, and hold and the battery hold on fine. Just one issue, the laptop gets slower over time; I’ve had it for over two weeks now and it’s already acting up. I don’t know if this just apple because my old phone acted the same or specifically the laptop is bad. I bought this because of it cheapness but I realized I was taking a gamble with my money because things could go way worse according to other reviews; although, I plan to keep using it since I already invested into this laptop. I’m sure that I can fix the slowness with apple care or just a few tweaks with my settings.
