The MacBook Pro "Core i9" 2.3 16-Inch (2019, Scissor Keyboard) is powered by a 14 nm, 9th Generation "Coffee Lake" 2.3 GHz Intel "Core i9" processor (I9-9880H), with eight independent processor "cores" on a single silicon chip, a 16 MB shared level 3 cache, 16 GB of onboard 2666 MHz DDR4 SDRAM and 1 TB of onboard flash storage as well as dual graphics processors -- an AMD Radeon Pro 5500M with 4 GB of dedicated GDDR6 memory and an Intel UHD Graphics 630 graphics processor that shares memory with the system. Externally, this notebook has an integrated 720p FaceTime HD webcam, a "new Magic Keyboard" with a "redesigned scissor mechanism... including 4 arrow keys in an inverted-T arrangement" as well as a customized "Touch Bar" with a separate esc key and a separate "Touch ID" sensor, and a gigantic "Force Touch" trackpad. Additionally, it has a high-resolution LED-backlit 16.0" widescreen 3072x1920 (226 ppi, 500 nits) "Retina" display with True Tone technology and the option of setting the refresh rate, and a integrated battery that provides an Apple estimated 11 hours of runtime. Connectivity includes 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, four "Thunderbolt 3" ports (USB-C connector), and a 3.5 mm headphone jack.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I don’t usually do reviews but I wanted to do one for this product because I’m usually skeptical with refurbished products but this laptop is amazing. I do music, edit videos, and play sims and it’s still very good. I just have to keep it on the charger because it dies super fast and it does get hot but that’s about it. I had only a tiny scratch on the bottom nothing noticeable and they did give me a faulty charger but I just ended up getting a new one. I will be getting another one to move my sims on as my creative projects grow and I download more mods lol. ... show more

The screen quality of this computer and physical quality is great. The computer had been working great for about a month or two, but now all of a sudden is giving me a substantial amount of problems. All of a sudden the computer started shutting down windows that I was working in including google chrome, safari, my finder windows and other applications. It also started to randomly shut down the whole computer on me. It would make a noise from the fan inside the computer and then just shut down. It also has been throwing several different errors. I am hoping to speak with someone in order to make this situation right, and I will update this review as soon as I do, but I am having a very hard time reaching anyone from BuySPRY to fix this situation and am extremely frustrated with the fact that this product was marketed as 'like new' and refurbished to an original operating state and am having these sort of issues. I hope that this company will make this right, I would be extremely grateful and also would commend and recommend this company to anyone who wants to buy from them. But if this problem remains as is, then I would recommend not buying from them. I tried calling and their phone lines are 'unavailable' and I have been trying their live chat option at BuySPRY.com and I cannot reach anyone. I left a message and am hoping to hear back and am going to send an email as well. I'll keep you all posted... :/ ... show more

    • Great for the price
I got a good price as I paid $1649 for a laptop that would cost at least a thousand bucks more if I were to buy it new, and several hundred more if I were to buy it refurbished from Apple. The shipping was pretty quick and easy. It came wrapped in a very protective bubble wrap and simply had the laptop and the charger in the box. The charger looks to be brand new. The laptop itself was in satisfactory condition. It had a few very small dings (no dents or scratches), and normal wear around the charging ports. the bottom of the laptop had some discoloration due to a case or something being used on it. When the laptop arrived it had 298 cycles on the battery. This seemed like a lot but the battery still has a lot of life left in it so it wasn't a deal-breaker for me. The computer works like new and has been very nice to have! I have used it for just shy of a week and have noticed nothing of concern. If I do have future issues I will be sure to update this review. As for now, I am happy and satisfied with my purchase! ... show more

Never before bought used computer, but I needed an intel chip MacBook Pro to run Windows 7 archive data files under Parallels—something my newer M Chip Mac can’t do. I have been delighted by how well it has functioned, supporting both upgrades to MacOS Tahoe and Parallels 26, running both Windows7 and Windows 11. My only negative is that it has no ports other than 4 USB-C ports—not even an HDMI port for an external monitor. ... show more
