bought this just for normal computer stuff. runs pretty okay, but I updated it to Monterey and it works way better on that. The computer came with a hard shelled case, a bluetooth mouse and bluetooth earbuds which i definitely did not expect but i appreciated! Also came with a charger. The exterior is pretty clean, minor scratches on the side. keyboard and trackpad work well, and the battery life seems pretty good right now. First off I would like to start with saying I am beyond pleased, I ordered this computer and read the reviews after the fact and got a little worried, there were a lot of bad reviews I saw and I didn’t know if I should’ve belived them because I have ordered a couple of renewed Apple products off of Amazon before and had no issues. Here is my experience: (I ordered excellent condition for $299) when I got it came bubble wrapped, with a charger and with a “case” (a computer sticker skin). I didn’t need to plug it in it was already charged and I turned it on and set it up, I did run into a problem accepting the terms of service, you have to go back and press set up I cloud later in order to accept the terms, I added my I cloud after the fact, I texted people and FaceTimed time to make sure it worked and it did (sound and camera quality is great) , everything on my phone transferred over immediately contacts, photos, Apple Music, recent messages everything! I didn’t know you couldn’t download apps like Netflix and YouTube, you have to search up the website online sign into it and then set it up as a shortcut and as you can see in my last picture I have everything added into my bar and I turned the computer off and back on to make sure it didn’t sign me out,so far I’ve had no issues with battery drainage it has been open for a long time and barely went down, I also switched over the default browser to chrome to make it easier to use for school you can download that online as well, the only thing wrong with it to my knowledge is the tiny tiny dot on the screen (second pic) it turns black when it’s on and white when it’s turning off and I really don’t care about it I paid $300 and these computers go for over $1000 so I could really care less, overall I love this so much and I’m glad I bought it, it is an amazing deal and really recommend it for anyone wanting one ... show more

I got this refurbished. I have had multiple problems since I got this. The keys are not working properly. The touch screen is not working. Then the battery is not staying charged. I work at a school and I purchased this so I could stop using my school district issued chrome book. It is sad for me to say that the school district issued chrome book is working better than this is. I also purchased a protection plan and they are refusing to fix this under the warranty. They are telling me that if I want them to fix it that I will need to pay for it and it will cost at least $400. I did not even spend $400 for the thing to begin with so I refuse to spend at least that amount to get it fixed. I have contacted the seller multiple times and have not heard back. The address they gave is a bogus address in Texas. Then I looked online and there is no phone number that I can find. I finally told them that if I do not hear back within a certain time frame that I am going to my bank to file a fraud complaint. Then file a complaint with consumer protection. Came in great condition (no scratches on screen or on body). Packaging could have been better my MacBook came in just a bubble wrap inside a Fedex box.

obviously since it’s refurbished mine came with very little scratches on the bottom and a tiny mark on the scene. the battery works decently and my keys all work well! i think it just depends on what kind of laptop you get. mine came with a sticker kind of case but i just peeled it off because it felt weird. but you can request a return if you get a bad one. but i’m satisfied with my purchase!!! ♥️♥️ it’s a little outdated so the settings look different but it connects to my phone and lets me do my schoolwork and other things. the camera quality is decent but pretty good still. it doesn’t get too warm even if i use it for a few hours. the battery lasts about 4-5 hours for me. the only thing is the plug in for the battery is a bit big but other than that i love it! ... show more

Excellent working condition and my daughter is able to complete her school work on the basically brand new computer. We had a little bit of a hiccup getting one that worked and was what she wanted but the patience in the end was worth every penny for this fabulous computer.

The product visually looks like new, but does not perform like new as far as battery life or transferring photos. If you don't want the quirks of an older macbook, then don't buy. Charging issues were noticed from the start. I have used macbooks for over a decade for work. Usually when you plug in a dead mac, it boots up as soon as you plug it in. Not this one. The charging cord that came with it was touchy at first, and then within a month it obviously has a short in it and I can see sparks when the cord is moved close to the charging head. It no longer works and I would return it except I threw away all the packaging. My error. And of course, it uses a different charger than my other macbooks! For what I bought it for, it will be fine but I am not convinced it was a great buy. ... show more
