This drain saddle valve is used to connect the drain tube of the RO system to the sink drain pipe. The clamp fitst 1-1/4 in. to 1-1/2 in. diameter drain pipes. Description states 3/8" fitting when in fact it's a 1/4" fitting. Returning it. Since have learned the RO drain line SHOULD be connected before the disposal - the current installation at my friends house for many years is after the disposal, and the drain hole would clog up from time to time, and then water drips out of the air gap hole at the faucet and floods the countertop, plus possible contaminated water. The better way to connect is not a drain saddle, but a drain line adaptor (DLA) on your dish washer drain line before the disposal. Several to choose from on Amazon . ... show more

The quick connect is 1/4 in while the drain connection is for 1.5 to 2 inches.
