I live in a okay neighborhood but unfortunately my home is near a canal area where an abundance of homeless people like to hangout. I have had many packages stolen or even people leaving trash in front of my house. I do have some security cameras but the quality and responsiveness aren't the best. I decided to splurge a bit and get this camera due to the 360 view and video quality. I have to say so far it seems like a great purchase. It was extremely easy to setup via the quick start guide that essentially helps you step by step to place it in the best spot. I updated it, which added some additional features. I tested the video feed which was pretty crisp, and the spot light which was extremely bright. One of my favorite features is that it follows people around when they are detected which none of my other cameras do. Overall this was definitely worth the price and if you really need a good camera this is the way to go. Plus came with a solar panel so no need to charge it as it's constantly charging via sun. Update: Unfortunately the camera is not a good product. It has a lot of issues with recording events. For some reason you'll get the notification of a movement or some detected event but when you go check it on the events page there's nothing there. I enrolled in their cloud service and used an SD card with the same results. This doesn't happen all the time though as I have noticed some events being recorded but its crucial for the camera to be able to record all the events that may happen otherwise what's the point of the camera. Support said they were aware of events not being recorded sometimes and were hoping to fix it soon in an update. Planning on returning this as I need a reliable camera now. UPDATE #2: I decided to get another camera from their website since they had a better deal, support worked with me step by step to make sure that everything was working correctly. From what I can tell everything is working and I have to say this company has absolutely incredible support. I would definitely suggest them.

The camera has some good features. Solar charges only when needed. Clarity of videos is very good. Night vision is great. Set up was very easy, just follow the instructions. SD card, so no fees. Night light is very bright and voice is good. Five stars for their online support if you have issues. Lynette was my assigned trouble shooter, and I cannot thank her enough for all her help. My main issue is that it would not start recording until I got close to it. If I could make a change to it, I would increase the distance it starts recording and record for longer. I would also have it sweep 24/7 across the yard so that I could not sneak up on it. I am working on purchasing another camera that might have more distance and fit my situation better. I have two other models plus the doorbell. Camera. AOSU is a good company to work with, and I will continue to be a customer.

WHAT’S INCLUDED: -AOSU PTZ Camera -Solar Panel -Camera Mount -Solar Panel Mount -Screws/Anchors -USB Cable -Instructions, Mounting Template, and Security Sticker PRODUCT/THOUGHTS: Firmupdate Upgraded 1.7.34 MAX Resolution: 2880x1620 at 5MP FPS: 15 Note: there will probably be multiple firmware updates available when you first take this out of the box and you’ll need to manually check for firmware several times after each instance of upgrading. By the time I was done, It went up to 1.7.34 Pros: -The PTZ motor controls are fast by default. There is no option to change these so the out of the box speed is great and a lot better than most PTZ Cameras. You get a lot of detection abilities built-in if you use the Intelligent Notification option. -They also give you several “AI Surveillance” types it tracks out of the box such as: Human, Intrusion, Vehicle, Parking Guard, and Pet. -They give you a lot of Notification event types. Intrusion Area, Parking Area, Smart Parking Surveillance, Staying, Passing, pet, Car and Low Power. That’s quite a bit. I really like that the camera can try to differentiate between someone “Lingering” and someone entering an area. -3K resolution for an image is really nice. I know it’s not quite 4K but it’s better than 2K. The detail is decent however with a nice enough wide angle. -The audio was pretty good for both the Mic and speaker. Voices came out clear, and the mic was picking up sounds and speech really good. -Panorama Feature: If you don’t know what this is, you can take a panorama of the viewable area. This then lets you click on that image in the live view so the camera will adjust to that location. Kind of like waypoints. I always like it when cameras have this because you can pan the camera to a spot very quickly. -The colors, contrast, shadows, hue, and saturation all seemed pretty good by default. Cons: -I noticed some slow connection speeds when bringing up the live view. This was pretty consistent the entire time during testing and I’m not sure why this is happening. Once in the camera, however, everything was responsive. -There isn’t any motion tagging which is a shame, especially since you have such a nice amount of event types. It would be great if you could get on the screen a box around a person, versus a different colored box around a vehicle, and another for a pet detection. -No package detection, although that’s not the end of the world but it would be nice since it’s becoming more common to have this feature. SUMMARY: There’s a lot to like about this camera, especially since it’s battery. It gives you a lot of versatility on where you can place this. I don’t often see battery PTZs that can perform just as well as a wired. But this one does a really good job. Except for the connection problems I experienced, the overall camera is very responsive, and the motor speed of the PTZ is pretty fast including the auto-tracking which was very consistent. I like all the notification types you get, although I wish they had motion tagging. They could also add that in the future I imagine, with firmware updates. The colors were accurate, and the spotlight was pretty bright for only 400 lumens. Can definitely recommend it, but I do hope they fix these slow app loading/connection issues that a lot seem to be experiencing.

The media could not be loaded. I had the model before this one and boy is this a nice upgrade ...tracking is improved and the new light led light ring provided a very nice bright clear light . Crystal clear video again a very nice upgrade from the previous model .. Tracking works perfect ..youll be suprised how well it tracks people , pets or any critters that are out and about. There are a lot of features and all controlled from the app which works very well too ....Set up is a breeze as with all AOSU cameras ..really is the most simple and quick set up you every will find ...Do yourself a favor and grab a new model .you wont be disappointed.
