It’s certainly not a silent operation when the motor is running. It does not run all the time in comparison if you had a standup freezer the motor would be about twice as loud as this but in the kitchen that is normally quiet this is loud and sometimes can be heard if you’re listening to TV but it shuts itself off. Overall I love the unit and I think it’s wonderful I put it in my kitchen so that I do not have to have a bunch of cans and bottles of soda type stuff in my main refrigerator this way people can only have to go in here I have set up like a snack station or like a concierge lounge in my kitchen and it seems to go over well I would buy it again maybe it needs some WD-40 :-) but no not I am enjoying it and appreciate that it is so compact overall. Bought this for my office., even though it's in a separate room, it's super noisy. I even packed professional egg crate noise reduction around it and inserted it into a cabinet, and I can still hear it buzzing in the other room. I wish I would have spent more and got a quiet one. Other than the noise, I love it, but the noise is a dealbreaker. I would return it if it wasn't such a pain in the ass. Guess I'll live with it and then upgrade in a few years. ... show more

After approximately a year, running in my garage, the unit still runs fine without excessive noise. I do however, have two issues. First, the shelves are very flimsy and fall from their tracks with loads that are not excessively heavy. Second, as mentioned in other reviews, the internal light is TOTALLY useless. The customer service team has been great getting back to us to resolve the issue and discussions of reopening the product. I ordered this fridge to keep my soft drinks and beer cold. I only have limited space, so I needed it to fit where my old fridge was located and this one was perfect. It also looked great and runs very quiet. You can barely hear the compressor running. When I got it installed, I filled it and it cooled down to 39 degF fairly quick, but it would not get colder. I contacted INSS to find out how to lower the tempature to 32degF that was showing in the manual. Danny with INSS quickly got back to me to let me know that the model had been updated and would not go colder. He offered me an option to return the unit. I really appreciate great customer service. Although the fridge did not meet my needs, it operated to the new spec and with receiving great customer service, I felt it deserves the full 5 stars. ... show more

I have had issues with the control panel. The manufacturer sent a new control panel and the cooler operated for 24 hours. It is again inoperable. After sending video to manufacturer, I did finally get a call from China addressing my concerns. And agreeing to refund my cost. This unit was rated in the top 3 units in its price range and an Amazon recommended unit. I am satisfied with the outcome but it did take from Mid Sept to early November to resolve this issue ... show more
