I upgraded to this 6MP PoE IP camera and couldn’t be happier with the performance. The UltraHD resolution is incredibly clear—much better than my old 1080p system. It captures detailed video both day and night, and the smart color night vision really makes a difference in low-light situations. Installation was easy with Power over Ethernet (PoE)—just one cable for power and data, which keeps things neat. The 2.8mm wide-angle lens provides excellent coverage for monitoring my driveway and front porch. What really impressed me is the AI-powered human and vehicle detection. It drastically cuts down on false alerts caused by animals or wind-blown trees. Plus, the built-in mic and speaker are great for two-way communication and work surprisingly well. The microSD card slot is a nice bonus for local storage without needing a separate NVR. If you're looking for a professional-grade, feature-packed turret-style dome camera, this is a fantastic choice—especially at this price point.

A couple of months ago, I completed an addition to my house. One side of the addition included a new sliding door. Since all of my other doors are surveilled by cameras, I thought that this new door should be also. I purchased the Anpviz 4K 8MP POE Camera. I was advised by an Anpviz technician that the camera could be mounted vertically. So, I thought that would be perfect for my situation. I was not wrong. Although, I did have to adjust the horizontal and vertical orientation to get the image to display properly. I was also advised that the camera would be plug and play with my Hikvision NVR. But, that did not seem to work for me. The camera delivery was uneventful but the unboxing was a little problematic. I couldn’t figure out how to detach the outer ring from the camera body. And I couldn’t find any directions specific to this model. Tech support was very helpful via email, but a small diagram would have simplified the process. I tried to use the QR code to locate more model specific information but that didn’t help either. I am not a phone person so that might have been the result of my own ineptness. I did get a follow-up email from Anpviz Direct after my Amazon purchase offering support for any potential issues. I thought that was a nice touch. I had already contacted support by then though. The camera body itself is quite dainty. I was surprised by its diminutive size. I’m not quite sure why though? It does, however, seem to be pretty solid and well built. It’s all metal except for the retaining ring which appears to be some type of plastic. It attaches to the wall with three screws which are included. The only tool that seems to be necessary is a screwdriver. Time to fire up the camera. Let’s see what happens? As I mentioned previously, I was told that the camera would be plug and play with my Hikvision NVR. That turned out to not be the case. After several back-and-forth emails with a very helpful Anpviz customer support person I resorted to the SADP tool and located the camera. I then activated the camera on my Hikvision NVR. I used Onvif protocol. Before mounting the camera on an outside wall, I positioned it in a small room to get a sense of how it would be. I discovered that the color night vision did not come on in the dark. When I contacted Tech support again, I was informed that there are four settings that determine how the color night vision operates. I thought that was pretty cool. I selected the “smart” setting which is the default which means “When a person or vehicle is detected at night, the white light is activated and the image switches to color mode until the person or vehicle disappears, the white light goes out, and the image switches to black and white.” That explains why the color night vision did not come on. Once I mounted the camera outside, I tested this feature out and it worked to perfection. Moreover, the night vision in black and white mode was very clear. Everything else worked very well also. The only problem I could mention is that when I went to adjust the positioning of the camera the screw that needed to be loosened that I thought was a Phillips head turned out to need a special tool. That tool did not come with the camera. Fortunately, I had another Anpviz camera which did include that tool. It turns out that it is a T10 Torx driver. I did not check the audio. All in all, this is an excellent camera with a great picture and great features and a reasonable price. I am glad that I have it. I recommend it enthusiastically.

Cannot recommend - Failed - lasted only 22 months on a covered patio - only 1-year warranty. Purchased replacement and it was also defective on arrival. UPDATE: Cannot recommend camera and now I cannot recommend the company because there has been no response from Anpviz support. They advertise 7/24 support, I emailed support 3-days ago about these problems and have received not received any response. Look elsewhere for better products.

I purchased this camera to try and augment my current setup. I was able to successfully set this device up with the ONVIF protocol and static IP address. The menu is pretty straightforward and easy to navigate. I really like being able to control the sensitivity of the full spectrum LEDs. The camera can work like your normal IR cameras but has a secondary set of LEDs that are bright white. You can use them all the time or set them to activate when motion is detected. So it can work like a security light as well without the additional cost. These units also support two-way audio and I can confirm it works through their app. I will include photos of two night views from different cameras. You will be able to see one is full color despite it being dark. The lighting in the picture comes from the illumination of the camera itself. These units are very well constructed and easy to install. There is enough room in the Undermount cavity to hide the ethernet connector, as lot of units do not have this option,. It makes it great for surfacemount. It also comes with a template for mounting so you get the screwed holes right. Overall, I am highly impressed with this piece of equipment. I will be ordering more in the future, not only for myself, but for friends, I help with their systems.

Camera works pretty well. The housing feels solid, it was easy to install. Blue Iris found it instantly, and it integrated decently with the software. Worked well for about a year then completely crapped out. I’ll be contacting support and maybe see what they can do. 3/5 it’s a high clarity camera for cheap, what can you expect?
