This Bunkie Board by Anothera has been a literal back saver for me. See, my husband has restless leg syndrome - tossing and turning all night. Well, this has done a number on our bed apparently, because the past couple of years, when his legs start kicking in his sleep I began feeling the movement on my side of the bed, which would result with me waking up with a sore back. I got this bunkie board as a last attempt before giving in and purchasing a whole new bedframe and mattress. I actually put this inbetween my mattress and boxsprings only on my side of the bed. I couldn't believe it worked, but it has made such a significant difference, I barely can feel when he starts moving if at all. This is my first experience using a bunkie board - but I have already decided that when I do finally get a new bed, I'm going bunkie board over box springs. The product itself is great quality, feels very durable and strong, but doesn't weigh much at all. The support it offers is outstanding, which has given me a much better quality of sleep. I absolutely recommend this product, I think it is a good value as well.

I returned this bunkie board because it caused my twin mattress to slip around worse than without it. The board itself seemed to be an ok quality and to be honest, this was the first time I have ever seen a bunkie board so I have nothing to compare it to. It had 2 velcro strips on either end but they didn't seem to be on the board correctly for me to be able to adequately tighten them down. I did the best I could. I followed the directions and used the webbing side UP which helped the mattress not to slip off of the board. My issue was the board itself slipped back and forth over the metal frame causing the entire mattress and board to move A LOT. I'm not sure if ALL Bunkie boards do that but with my frame slats being only 5 inches apart, I decided I was better off WITHOUT the board.

I'm using it with my metal bed frame that has metal slats. My mattress has pocket springs, and the metal slats are too far apart, so the mattress sags between them. That made it feel uncomfortable to sleep on, but using this solved it. My mattress lies completely flat and has the needed support for the pocket springs to work properly. I've been sleeping great because this is how it's supposed to feel. My mattress wouldn't have lasted very long without having a solid base like this bunkie board to support it. So for me, using this was absolutely necessary. It was easy to install. It took a few minutes for me to put it over the bed frame and secure the hook and loop. I move around quite a bit while sleeping and work on my laptop on my bed all the time. The mattress doesn't move or slide. The support is solid and it fits perfectly. It's what I needed for my mattress, and the price is great for the quality.

I have an expensive mattress but it just does not support me very well. As a result, I suffer from shoulder and back pain. I came across this Anothera Bunkie Board. I thought I would give it a try before replacing my mattress and I am glad I did because by firming up the mattress, my shoulder and back pain are almost completely gone. As mentioned, this Bunkie Board does a good job of firming up a soft or sagging mattress. The construction seems good and it is easy to install- simply remove your mattress, place this bunkie board on the box spring, then place the mattress directly on top. As far as I am concerned, this Anothera Bunkie Board gives my current mattress renewed time. Having my shoulder and back pain go away is worth the price for me!

So we got these boards in hopes of using it with our daughter’s twin frame, as the wooden planks that it comes with constantly fall off the side guarding rail or break all together. Unfortunately, these boards are just all too small together we end up using them on TOP of the planks. The reason for 3 stars instead of none is that they technically do work. It prevents the mattress from shifting, which in turn is less likely to break or move from the planks underneath. If you have a bare metal rack, these might work since it’ll essentially sit slightly smaller than the actual mattress itself. This could also help with making bed a bit firmer for like, an Airbnb option as I’ve had hotels do that before (adding a board when called down about too soft of a bed).
