Most products containing the "Omegas" are heavy on Omega 9, which our bodies naturally produce. This is a great supplement for the essential fatty acids Omega 3 and Omega 6, which our bodies cannot produce and so we need them from our diets. The Western diet is full of processed foods lacking these crucial fats. I have noticed an improvement in my skin, hair and nails after 6 weeks. I take the individually packaged portions every other day. This is the best and most complete Omega-3 and Omega-6 supplement I have EVER been able to find, containing good amounts of CLA (Conjugated Linoleic Acid),DHA (Decosahexaenoic Acid),GLA (Gamma-Linolenic Acid),EPA (Eicosapentaenoic Acid) and LA (Linoleic Acid). Bottom line: It works! Whether you’re an athlete, use it for brain health or want to lower your cholesterol, it works! I would recommend this product to anyone, whether you are working out & trying to stay in shape or not. Anyone that has cholesterol issues, this is the product you need. Trust me, I’ve tried many, and this is top of the line. My blood work shows it. I have a genetic mutation on one of my genes that makes it so that I cannot take statins to lower my cholesterol. The problem with cholesterol medication is that it lowers your good cholesterol as well. I have been taking this product for years now. I tried other Omega 3 products & was always left with either heartburn or a fishy taste. This product comes in the proper proportions & has a pill that helps to quickly dissolve it to get into your system. I take one pack daily & my blood work always shows that I have the cholesterol that you would expect to see from an Olympic athlete (according to my doctor) - I do try to eat healthy as well. I also talked to a psychiatrist & my former college professor in nutrition/biology, and asked them if fish oils actually worked for your brain health, or if that was just a myth. I was told by both of them that they do, but not for most people because they don’t take enough. You have to take around 4000mg a day in order for there to be any effects & most people don’t take but half of that, or even less. Guess what? Animal Pak Omega gives you 4000mg a day of omega 3 & calculated out 2500mg of omega 6 is the proper calculations for them to work the best in conjunction with each other for optimal health. Bottom line: I would recommend this product to anyone, whether you are working out & trying to stay in shape or not. Anyone that has cholesterol issues, this is the product you need. I love Jocko and trust his products and didn’t read when I purchased this product has 3 different food colorings … I just didn’t think with the quality he insists on he would allow food coloring in supplements… like why? Jocko please remove the food coloring or use natural forms like turmeric etc… uh disappointed… ... show more
