I like taking the spoonful omega 3 fish oil because they are affordable. I don't really care for how round in size they are, like some others have stated, but I'll hold them in my hand for a little bit to make them warm, then I'll kinda squeeze them so they flatten a little, then they go down smoother for me. I've bought these several times so that's not a deal breaker for me, and they don't leave me with fish aftertaste when I take with food. ... show more

I read most of the reviews and decided to buy because these are smaller than some "horse" pills I have taken. Yes, they are round, and a bit larger than they appear in the image (~10mm). I take them with other supplements (no gelcaps) to deter them from sticking to each other and swish the liquid before swallowing. Thus far, no worries. 😉👍 Today being the first day, I took a healthy dose 6 upon arrival, 3 more with dinner. My bp was a wee bit lower and I was able to cat-nap with a deep sleep. Considering my sleep patterns have been off (tired, can't fall asleep at night), waking between 3a-5.30a, this was a nice side effect. I may look for a less expensive brand for our dogs. I think our 12 yr old Finnish Lapphund will benefit greatly from omega 3. ... show more

I've been looking for small size fish oil pills. I was delighted to find these. Even though the pills are small, they can be difficult to swallow. I think it is because they are very hard. I accidentally discovered a way to make them easier to swallow. Because the pills are round, they roll around when placed on the table. One day I put them on paper towels to prevent them from rolling. The paper towel got wet and the pills because soft and much easier to swallow. Two questions for the manufacturer: 1) Does the outside of the pill becoming wet and softened minimize effectiveness? 2) How do you get such a high concentration of EHA and DPA in a small pill. My tween’s neurologist suggested that a higher dose of EPA could help my son with some comorbid issues that arise from ADHD and ASD. We tried the Nordic brand of fish oils, but the higher the EPA the larger the pill seemed to be. Plus there were fishy burps with that brand. I found that these fish oil pearls are easy for him to swallow (he takes three pearls daily) and he hasn’t complained of a fishy after taste or fishy burps. You also get a higher dose of EPA with this product without having to take larger pills or a handful of gummies that are full of sugar. You get a good amount for the price and this product has been consistently in stock, unlike the Nordic brand. Doctor told my husband he had to start "again" on the fish oil. I must have purchased every brand at CVS and Walmart but threw them away after my husband refused to use. I tried again and poured over all the materials online and found this tiny size. No aftertaste, no burp, nothing. Only thing you have to do is take 3 as your daily dose--so I guess it could be expensive. However, I wish I had all they money back from the ones I tossed in the trash. But they do have a 300 pill bottle for a better price. And in reality we are going to try for 6 months and if his labs shows good news we are going to go with this brand.
