Great conversations boxes, able to down different streaming apps on several models and ages of TV's. Quality of connection is dependent on Internet reliability which varies by provider and location. The selection arrow is very small and often gets lost in the text or images making it difficult to find on the screen.

They Refuse to post my reviews so i will make it simple. It's a fact that the Chinese crap we are buying is getting worse and worse. I tried replacing a 6 year old box that was getting worn out. The chipsets in these newer boxes don't improve they get worse and they get you with false hope with gimmicks like 4gb of ram quadcore ect. I dont even stream, I don't play games or use apps other than Kodi i simply play movies from a home server. This device can't even handle simple playback .. Through Kodi. Remind you I'm using the same exact set up as the older device except the only difference is this box.. no settings in the world will fix the hardware issues i'm getting and that's when I leaned that the hardware going into these are even worse than they were 6 years ago.. looks like to get a decent player your paying a couple hundred$$.. My worn out 6 year old player is currently back on playing the same movies from the same version of Kodi 300 times better.. so I will take the time to research my best options...RUN as fast as you can from these Chinese junk boxes .. It's a shame we have to reply on such crap ...something needs to be done about it.. all of the crap we seem to want to rely on, most of it end up in the trash

The box was easy to install but the remote is cheap and not easy to understand. There are no instructions for the remote. I am returning the item.

I'd give it 5 stars if it didn't contain malware preinstalled. It worked great for a week or 2, but after that it started losing Bluetooth connectivity, and it started ignoring the remote. I did some online searches and found that this model, along with dozens of others, come from the factory with Badbox malware. It doesn't do any good to factory reset it because it's written into the image that gets restored. There is a "firmware update" available online, but it's older than the one that comes with it and I fear it will either contain the malware too, or just OTA update itself to the latest version. What I did to make it work was to hard reset it with the hidden reset button in the AV jack. Before connecting to the internet, I sideloaded RethinkDNS and set it up to autostart with the firewall set to block the 5 Command and Control domains of the Badbox malware. Then I proceeded as usual. This made it usable. What I learned for $30 is to just spend the extra $10-$20 for a Google Certified box. They are checked by Google to not contain known malware before they are certified. My box didn't begin misbehaving until it was out of the return window, so I needed to find a way to mitigate the problem. Edit June 23, 2024: Well, the box went to crap again after a day or so. I flashed the firmware update but that didn't fix the wifi being dead. Neither did flashing the other, older firmware, so I flashed it back. Maybe it's a heat issue that killed the wifi. I'll find out when I get time to take it apart and replace things if I am able. The seller offered a full refund that I declined. I'll raise my rating to 3 stars because of this, although if it was just the product and not the seller being rated, I'd give it 1 star. The seller is only 1 of many selling these boxes because they are so popular. Do yourself a favor and only purchase Google Certified TV boxes. Most any of the others are going to be cheap Chinese junk boxes that would never pass certification.
