I am super disappointed with this shaver. At first, I was very impressed with the closeness of the shave. I bought it for the back of my neck after haircuts, but also used it about 20 times to shave my face and neck, and it worked very well. Nice smooth shave with no pulling and no razor burn. When the battery finally lost its initial charge (which took many months), I reharged it and used it sporadically for another 6 months. Then the battery died again, and it no longer accepts a charge. Intermittently, it will turn on while plugged in, but even if I leave it plugged in for days, it won't take a charge any more. So unless I can figure out how to get it to charge again, it is just a useless and worthless paperweight. What a huge disappointment. I saw in the reviews that this happened to a lot of other people, I foolishly thought it wouldn't happen to me. Shame on Andis. By the way, I see a lot of reviewers that say it didn't work to cut their hair. The issue is that the hair needs to go straight into the holes in order to get cut. So if the hair is long enough to lay flat against the skin, this shaver is absolutely not going to work. A 3-head shaver with spinning blades is needed for that scenario. I did a test, I shaved with my very high quality Philips Norelco 3-head shaver, and got a nice close shave. Then I immediately shaved with this shaver, and it made it into an even CLOSER shave. I could easily hear the hairs getting cut by the blades, and it made my skin baby soft. Dang, if only the battery worked past a the one year mark, it would be a great little shaver.

Without question the best electric shaver I have ever used. I do not even like them, to be honest. But I went to a local Barber Shop a couple of weeks ago and I wanted a straight razor shave. However, it was nearing closing time and the Barber asked if I would consider a shave with the little Andi razor instead. He assured me it would cut closely and I would be pleased. Although really skeptical, I consented. He shaved me in no time, it seemed, and asked me to feel my face and "see what I thought". I couldn't believe it. It felt as smooth as if I had shaved with my blade type razor at home. I asked him a few details & features about the shaver. And, as I said, I do not even like electric razors. But I came straight home and got online, looked it up and ordered it!! I love it

I noticed it was a used machine already because it had short black hairs inside the machine and on the blades. I needed it for a house call and had no other shaver. I was able to clean, wash and disinfect the machine but had to use my extra backup box cutter and guard so it was a waste of money. Very disappointed in Andis Cordless Mens Box Razor.

He said it was one of his favorite gifts EVER. He has a tendency to get razor bumps on his face but does not with this shaver. He did notice that he has to shave every day or his wiskers seem too long to shave properly, though...

I was tired of using razor blades and having to buy expensive ones. I ran across this foil shaver and i used it to shave and it left my face smooth! Better than expected better than a razor blade in my opinion it came with another foil shave blade. Good product well worth it!

I use this shaver for the final leg of shaving my face that begins with an electric trimmer. It does a great job getting close up leaving my skin smooth. It's light, charges quickly and lasts a long time on its charge. I can't think of any improvements I would make on it. Hence my 5 stars.

Overall I like this Balder. It cuts very close to the skin as if I just shaved with a razor, I love that about it. On the other hand this model is experiencing some sort of malfunction while trying to charge, sometimes it starts charging but abruptly stops. Now the balder wont even hold a charge at all, or even allow me to use while its plugged in. Pretty disappointed with how long it lasted. Josh Colorado Springs

Best electric shaver I've ever used. Get's as close as a razor most of the time. Only issue is if you've got hairs that grow flat against the skin this razor won't be able to get at them. Can't fault the razor for that though, just gotta train them pesky hairs!
