I have officially broken up with Dobi paying their last price hike and declining quality after decades of loyalty. 2 generations, could have been 4 if I had children. These sponges are thicker but soft enough for my small hands to use effectively. There was no soaking involved to bring them to full size, it sprang up immediately once wet. The sponges have two stitched ends as opposed to the dobi, not as esthetically pleasing because they're rather large, but it's not a deal breaker for me. The weave of the sponge looks identical and they are the same pale yellow that dobi decided to change for the blinding neon yellow. These sponges will work out better than dobi when I downgrade them to grunge cleaning duties due to the thicker size. I've always been gentle with my dobis, never used them to scrub pans or dirty dishes. I'd use my hands to remove any debris first, but I've noticed over the last 5 yrs that I had to replace them due to holes, not regular wear and tear. I have dobis from 10 years ago that are still intact waiting for a cleaning project. For me, I'm thrilled to have found a replacement for dobi at an affordable price. Thank you Maqihan!

The material doesn’t tear easily. The sponge doesn’t stain too bad even though it’s light and any uglies wash away pretty easily. It’s a good scrubber without being one of those gross scratchy or metal type sponges. They also last forever while keeping their shape. I even throw them in the dishwasher to sanitize about weekly and each one lasts months. It could probably last longer but they’re not expensive so I switch it every couple of months

When they arrive they are packed under vaccume and apprear very disappointing, once they are released from the vaccume and a little water they pop right up and look just like a regular Dobie Pad. Been using them and I'm very satisfied with the product and price.

Good value, hardworking mesh-covered sponge. Easy to rinse out and long-lasting. After use I sprinkle baking soda over it with a drop of dish soap to clean and deodorize so the sponge doesn't retain or create odors.
