The scanner worked really well at first it didn’t read anything, but that wasn’t the scanner. It was my network on my bus. Once I resolved why it wasn’t reading i.e. an internal add-on device inside the bus the scanner read great and was able to clear codes and narrow down the issues with my bus. I’m still working on it, but I believe the scanner tool is helping greatly reduce work to narrow down the problem.

I have a 2020 Freightliner cascadia with a dd13. This product does NOT clear the codes for the after treatment. And you can not force a regen until the codes are clear..... There for.... You are still S O L

I don't have a HD truck but my 2025 Ford Maverick has the WWH-OBD system and I tried my OBD2 scanners and they could not recognize my Maverick. The Ancel HD601 quickly connected and very easy to navigate through the menu. Totally happy with my purchase, and I imagine newer vehicles are going to use the WWH-OBD system. Hope this helps you!

This scanner is junk. It literally does absolutely nothing. You can't even reset codes. Super disappointed. And unfortunately I ran past the return window, and now I am stuck with a $150.00 scanner that does nothing. However, I changed my review from 1 star to 4 stars after the company explained that it is not intended to do much except give a little more information other than what is provided by the diagnostics offered by the vehicle manufacturer. The also let me keep it and gave me a full refund (at least I think they did).

Every scanner I've ever seen has had the ability to clear error codes, so you can see if the code was a "glitch" that isn't happening again, or a problem that really needs fixing. While this scanner does an excellent job in scanning and analyzing the condition of the engine, it DOES NOT clear error codes. The Check Engine light was on, so I purchased this scanner and ran the analysis. It provided a readout that indicated the sensor in the coolant reservoir was not working correctly. So I tried to clear the code to see if it would return. The scanner said it had indeed cleared the code. But when the engine was started, the Check Engine light was still illuminated. I used the scanner to run another analysis, and sure enough, the same error code was displayed. So I cleared the code again, and the scanner confirmed on the display screen that it was cleared. But.... again, the Check Engine light was on, and another scan displayed the same error code. So I contacted Ancel support. They said that the code couldn't be cleared until the part was replaced. (Makes no sense at all.) So, I replaced the part. And guess what? The Check Engine light is still on, and the scanner is displaying the same error code as before, even though the part was replaced. I tried clearing the code again, a few times, and still nothing. So basically this scanner has not helped resolve the issue, and it doesn't seem to have the capacity to clear codes, under any circumstances.

This worked to read the codes on a 20+ year old Diesel Pusher, Class A motorhome RV with a cummins ISC 8.3 engine. It read the transmission, ABS, and engine codes. This unit seems a bit over priced for what it does, which is just read codes. I suppose the advantage is that it can also read the ODBII port in a passenger vehicle as well, but I find it is just as simple as a $30 reader from the local autoparts store with ODBII. The 3 stars is a reflection of the price/value of the product. Almost a hundred fifty bucks for a simple code scanner. This unit should sell for a third of the price. Updating the software was easy using a windows 11 computer.
