I bought this because my Case TR320 was throwing multiple codes and was in limp mode. The only other option was to take it to the dealership an hour away. Since it was throwing an emissions code (EGR) I was able to clear the codes and it will run perfectly. So now, until I can get a new EGR valve, I just have to turn the key, plug this in and clear the codes every time I need to use it. It does feel fairly light, but it does what it should. WARNING: This thing does not have a battery as it pulls power from the machine (unless you buy the power plug option) and you will also need WIFI the first time you turn it on. Beware- if your machine is out in the middle of nowhere like mine was you'll need to active the hotspot function on your phone the first time you use it. It was worth every penny though! ... show more

Does not have the plug for cat excavator or bobcat equipment. Does work well on medium duty trucks, industrial deere, cummins and Isuzu engines. Have used it enough that I am happy with it, but I bought it specifically to plug into a Cat excavator initially.

This is my second rating for the scanner. I originally gave the scanner 2 stars, as I was not able to register the product. I also had issues attempting to perform the update. Ancel replied to my rating the same day and has provided me with the assistance I needed to perform both. Kudos for the timely manner with which they responded and for providing help. A side note for the update is that I read the instructions too quickly, and was attempting to put the device in update mode using the incorrect sequence. I recommend this scanner without any hesitation. I was able to pull the code from my 2018 Mazda Miata easily. ... show more

    • Didn't work on a Cat backhoe 420F2 had 6 codes, didn't read any. Did work on my John Deere loader

When I hooked it up to the caterpillar it said this machine requires dual scan tools simultaneously to work, not sure how many other caterpillar machines require this two-unit scan, but this tool didn't work on mine. did work on my 524K John Deere loader, gave me the wrong code description on a Cummins motor in a Komatsu haul truck I scanned. seems hit and miss. great for live data reading, ... show more

This item does everything that it states it can do. Nice to find out what has caused your check engine light to turn on before you take it to be repaired. Saves getting ripped off by shops telling you, you need a new engine when all that is required is a new thermostat. It's high quality and easy to use. The price is well worth it. Absolute junk does not function as described. Will not work on cat like it says and fried an ecm on a John Deere when I tried to connect it. This is just cheap junk that will do more damage than good. Tech support is an absolute joke that takes 24hrs to get a response so conversations take literal days. Tech support also knows nothing about the equipment so the week long conversation just becomes an irritation and waste of time. I highly advise spending the money for a decent tool and not this junk. ... show more
